Our words have creative power. With our words, we can speak blessings over our future.

CONTINUING ON THE SERIES; THOUGHTS AND WORDS AND LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello Followers,

It’s Hump Day again! Déjà vu, where does the time go?

The summer is almost over and before you know it, fall will be here.

Who is waiting for another season?

The scent of fall is nearly in the air but if you’re like the many of us who are clinging to the long days of sun that summer brings, get up and get out.

You don’t want autumn to hit while you still have summer bucket list items to cross off.

Soon enough you’ll be scrambling indoors for long football sessions and family game nights.

Until then, however, cling away.

Fall is approaching but it’s not quite here just yet.

Enjoy these activities before summer really is over!

How many of you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

It’s time to share some words from THE LEFT-HANDER’S HANDBOOK.

Being left-handed in a right-handed world can be frustrating.

This frustration may account for a disquieting statistic that left-handers are three times more apt to become alcoholics.

Just look at the problems they face!

Left-handed violinists, guitarists, banjoists must restring their instruments, which are designed in our wrong-way.

As Dan and I continue the series on words and thoughts. I’m going throw in a twist with sharing the Importance of keeping your word to others and yourself that can affect your and others health.

Today the post is the importance of keeping your word to others.

People won’t hold value in what you say because your actions speak louder than your words, or in this case, your lack of action.

Broken Promise, A friend or colleague who continually lets you down when they promise to do something, or be somewhere, soon loses your trust and respect.

Conversely, most of us feel bad if we let somebody down because we realize some trust and respect for us, from that person, has been eroded.

When it comes to family, we tend to go the extra mile.

The consequences of not being there is too painful and embarrassing to imagine.

So, nothing will stand in your way.

If you value the friendship, you’ll find a way of keeping your word whatever crops up that day.

Somebody once said “You are your word” and this is true.

We measure our respect, or not, for politicians by analyzing if they kept their campaign promises.

This is why we don’t respect or trust our politicians because most of them follow a road of broken promises.

But they’re not the first or only to do this; just convenient as an example.

Promises to Yourself; keeping our word is not only about respecting others but keeping your word to yourself is all about respecting yourself.

We need to pay as much attention about keeping promises to ourselves as we do to others.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

THOUGHTS AND WORDS

If someone says they will do one thing, but then they do the opposite; you have two choices.

1. Assume why!

2. Ask why!

They may have a logical answer, but you’ll never really know unless you ask.

Assuming the worst in a person hurts them.

Assuming the best in a person disappoints you.

Assuming nothing allows you both to see the truth.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

WITH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

TELL A STORY BY PICTURES

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

20 PICTURES, ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

This is where we continue on the book: LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Today’s post will continue on – CHAPTER FOUR, GET OFF THE FENCE; MAKING THE CHOICE!

SEE WHAT YOU HAVE, THE PAST. SEE WHAT YOU WANT, THE PRESENT. AND SEE WHAT CAN BE, THE FUTURE.

So, when should you quit?

When is the sacrifice you are making too much to stay?

Cling.

Quit when the relationship is so unhealthy when the only way to gain perspective and stay emotionally healthy is distance.

· Quit when there is frequent physical abuse. Physical abusers rarely stop once they have crossed over the line from threats to actual abuse.

· Quit when you are drowning and have no more strength to dog-paddle.

· Quit when someone for whom you are responsible is drowning in verbal or physical abuse and you take them with you.

· Quit if to stay, you must be a doormat.

· Quit if you are willing to own the choice and its consequences.

When should you stay?

· Stay if there is a glimmer of hope to which you can.

· Stay if you are the ray of hope for others and, in the staying; you will not be destroyed.

· Stay if you are willing to own the choice and its consequences.

The ultimate measure of a man and a woman is not where he or she stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he or she stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Maybe it’s time to rethink where you are standing as you attempt to resolve your problems.

Your relationship cannot flourish until you get off the fence.

It’s when you come down, determines your course, and start the journey that your life will begin to change.

You can’t stand until you find your legs. And you won’t be healthy in any relationship if you are not standing on your own.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of SAGE. It’s amazing what and how sage can help keep your body healthy?

Sage is high in several nutrients.

Sage packs a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals.

One teaspoon (0.7 grams) of ground sage contains; Calories: 2, Protein: 0.1 grams, Carbs: 0.4 grams, Fat: 0.1 grams, Vitamin K: 10% of the reference daily intake (RDI), Iron: 1.1% of the RDI, Vitamin B6: 1.1% of the RDI, Calcium: 1% of the RDI, Manganese: 1% of the RDI.

As you can see, a small number of sage packs 10% of your daily vitamin K needs.

Sage also contains small amounts of magnesium, zinc, copper and vitamins A, C and E.

What’s more, this aromatic spice houses caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, rosmarinic acid, ellagic acid and rutin; all of which play a role in its beneficial health effects.

Since it’s consumed in tiny amounts, sage provides only minuscule amounts of carbs, calories, protein and fiber.

Sage is rich in nutrients, especially vitamin K; despite being low in calories. One teaspoon (0.7 grams) boasts 10% of your daily vitamin K needs.

More benefits of sage tomorrow.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Rain, rain please not while we walk. 2nd option walks inside. Thanks for Tanglewood Mall.

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

Guided meditation for change | Break the vicious cycles in your life | meditation for mindfulness

A guided meditation to help with contemplating if you are in a bad cycle and help in concluding how you, yourself can change things.

This meditation is one where you let your mind work things out automatically as you let go into receiving your own answers.

It may take a little time for you to see the answers as this guided meditation opens your mind to yourself and the world around.

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can’t see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!
