Sustainability is the key to our survival on this planet and will also determine success on all levels.

CONTINUING THIS WEEK ON SERIES, WE ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello Followers,

Happy Hump Day!

Do you know what that means?

YES!

Its half way through the week.

Dan and I like to believe that we are survivors.

Are you?

Do you know why people get sick?

Why humans get sick and wild animals do not formula; The art of cooking + the science of

chemistry and medicine = toxemia and the diseases of civilization.

Improperly constituted food to use Dr McCarrison's expression, although life sustaining is at the same time health destroying because it does not furnish the life.

Sustaining components in the proper form or quantity and in addition introduces, directly or indirectly; toxic substances into the bloodstream.

Thus, the digestive system is constantly overworked and the milieu interieur (environment within) is constantly in a state of toxemia, the degree of which is dependent on the vitality of the eliminatory organs.

The manner in which the body is impaired and the symptoms of impairment displayed are dependent on the degree and nature of the toxemia.

Because there are countless variations in the nature and degree of toxemia, there are countless variations in symptoms; which accounts for why there are so many diseases doctors must try to remember the names of in their mistaken belief that each symptom represents a different disease.

AUGUST – 17th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about August that’s so significant during this month?

National I LOVE My feet Day – August 17, 2022

You might be wondering why feet are being celebrated!

Well, the real question should be why aren’t you celebrating it?

We know feet are sometimes associated with being gross, but the truth is feet do a whole lot for us as humans.

They carry our entire body weight to carrying any extra load we carry, like groceries and other heavy materials.

Feet are the foundation for the entire body in terms of support, balance, posture, and overall well-being, so they should be catered to.

National I Love My Feet Day was invented by Carolyn Jenkins and was intended to be a day in which people not only loved their feet but took proper care of them.

Taking care of your feet is of utmost importance for individuals with diabetes or certain circulatory conditions.

It is worth knowing that 75% of all adults have a foot problem, and we should aim to drastically reduce that number.

These foot problems usually come from wearing improper footwear, such as oversized or undersized footwear as many people still don’t know their accurate sizes.

Footwear choices have to be carefully made as they can create a lifetime of misery if chosen wrongly.

As our feet are our primary mode of transport, we often forget how hard they work while they quietly and faithfully help us stand, walk, run, skip, jump and play sports.

They take us wherever we want to go from school to work and recreational sites.

They withstand all the things we do in our everyday lives, accomplishing a lot of things our hands cannot.

National I Love My Feet Day serves as a reminder to learn about our feet, share good foot care tips, footwear guidance, foot care, and product information.

Also, partake in activities to help us celebrate our feet and keep them healthy.

The inaugural I Love My Feet Day was observed in 2015 after submission by Carolyn Jenkins in May 2015.

It has been observed annually ever since and this year makes it the eighth celebration of I Love My Feet Day.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

ETERNITY IS NOT SOMETHING THAT BEGINS AFTER YOU’RE DEAD. IT IS GOING ON ALL THE TIME. WE ARE IN IT NOW.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 19; DANCING WITH PORCUPINES (last chapter of the book)

LOVE OPENLY-

You may have made mistakes and wasted a lot of time, as anyone caught in a difficult relationship does.

You may have held back from loving openly.

But it is never too late to change.

In Charles Dicken’s; A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Scrooge became a new man in his old age.

Filled with energy and zest.

Transformed after he was visited by the three Christmas ghosts.

The Broadway musical Scrooge focuses on the changes in his life as he redirected his priorities, values and attitudes.

He changed from miserly to generous, miserable to radiantly happy, selfish to caring, a loser to a winner.

He showed that to be a winner is not dependent on your having done it right in the past.

It depends on your doing it right in the present.

Continue Thursday-

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 1; WHAT IS STRESS?

DIFFERENT TYPES OF STRESS-

SOUND BATH

Either on a good stereo or through headphones, sit back and listen.

Attentively to a calming piece of music like the Largo from the New World Symphony by Dvorak.

Imagine that the sounds are literally bathing your ears.

This is a simple and very effective end-of-day, wind down.

Notice how you feel afterward.

Bathing your ears with beautiful music, even just a few minutes will change your brain wave patterns and calm you down.

SENSORY SUCCESS WITH STRESS

Sensory approaches to stress are being used in many areas of the community.

Psychological studies have shown that positive use of the senses is highly beneficial to the mind.

Helping to keep brain processes alert and maintaining mental, emotional and physical vitality.

Bringing sensory awareness into working and living environment has lasting and noticeable effects on our feelings and attitudes.

Tomorrow, we’ll be posting on some examples of areas where sensory approaches are helping many kinds of people.

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

SUSTAINABILITY IS THE KEY 🗝️
