CONTINUING ON THE SERIES; THOUGHTS AND WORDS AND THE SERIES OF LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE FROM LAST WEEK. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello Followers,

Good day! Hope all of you are having a relaxing Saturday.

Today I woke up early to begin composing this blog and to create my mini video.

I have been slipping, for I usually have an early start and do it late the night before; this way Dan can edit and then I can post and add the pictures.

Today, however; when I woke up, the first think that I was thinking about was the word CHANGE.

I was remembering back before we left to Mexico to live, nine years ago. Things in the states were much different, my thoughts and the words that are being used in today’s world was much different.

I do word finds; this keeps my brain sharp. I recently finished one with quotes to inspire, which is by CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL.

There is this quote that I found words by that goes along with my thought today. It goes like this, “None of us knows what the next change is going to be; what unexpected opportunity is just around the corner, waiting a few months or a few years to change - all the tenor of our lives.”

By Kathleen Norris

Do you find yourself entrenched in negative thought patterns?

Do you think some of your health concerns might be related to your outlook on life?

What you think directly influences how you feel and how you behave.

Think about it.

Harvard research has shown that you can increase your strength just by thinking about it, what other areas of your life can you change for the better simply by thinking about what you want?

Use positive visualizations when goal setting because this has really strong results both from a motivational perspective and also from a Law of Attraction perspective.

But if we want something to happen, the first thing we need to do is think about it happening.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

THOUGHTS AND WORDS

Old habits die hard, but if you know their results and don’t want to see them anymore, you’ve got to change the choices that keep leading to them.

The more they’ve happened, the easier it is to recognize a pattern.

Most times, you need to be able to see a pattern before you can tell what you need to change.

Maybe you didn’t see it the first time or the fifth time or the twenty-seventh time, but things aren’t always all that clear.

The important thing is to change it when you do recognize it.

Then your whole life will change for the better.

Don’t look back with regret – look forward with the promise of brighter days ahead.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

This is where we continue on the book: LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Today’s post will continue on – CHAPTER FOUR, GET OFF THE FENCE; MAKING THE CHOICE!

Posting is on, when leaving is not optional! While healthy relationships encourage individuality, personal responsibility, and independence, unhealthy relationships encourage dependency.

Sacrifice and compromise are healthy parts of relationships. But being required to blindly follow a family member’s commands or a supervisor’s directives with no opportunity for your own input is toxic.

Giving up your needs and aspirations to someone else with whom you are in a relationship must be a choice you make, based on long-term goals, not the result of the other person exerting his or her power over you.

Losing who you are in the process of serving, helping, giving, or sharing is not only unhealthy; it is toxic.

It can happen only when your vision is skewed.

No on has to leave a relationship to be his or her own person, but we must stand up in our relationships as adults; without guilt, accepting the responsibility for our choice.

Tomorrow we will be posting; OWNING YOUR CHOICE.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ROSEMARY. It’s amazing what and how rosemary can help keep your body healthy?

Today, I’ll be share with you the recipe of ROSEMARY TAPENADE. Are you ready!

Tapenades are a traditional French preparation that combines a blend of olives and herbs to make a savory, salty spread.

It’s served before or alongside a meal.

It’s great spreading on some crusty baguette.

Some suggesting for the best tasted rosemary tapenade; using pitted olives that have been stored in oil or dry cured.

Choose high-quality olives; one cup of niçoise olives and one cup of green olives.

Ingredients:

2 cups of olives

1 tablespoon capers

2 anchovy filets preserved in olive oil

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons roasted tomatoes

3 garlic cloves

1 ½ tablespoons minced fresh rosemary

1 ½ tablespoons minced fresh thyme

2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions:

1. Assemble all the ingredients with the exception of the olive oil.

2. Place them in a food processor or blender.

3. Process until thoroughly mixed and the olives are broken into small but discernible chunks.

4. Slowly add the oil into the mix.

5. Continuing to process until the mixture forms a thick paste.

6. Go slowly, it’s easy to overdo it with the olive oil.

7. Serve this with bread or crackers or even on veggies or meats.

8. It will keep in the fridge for about 1 week

9. ENJOY!

Tomorrow; ready for another rosemary recipe? ROSEMARY LAMB

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Yesterday's walk 🔥hot even in the shade.

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

Guided Meditation for Overthinking ~ You Are Not Your Thoughts

Overthinking can force needless thoughts and ideas on your mind.

With allusions, doubts, fears, regrets and skewed truth it can stress you out.

Neither of these qualities contribute to a happy or healthy life.

This Guided Meditation gives your insight, and makes you mindful of the bigger picture.

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can’t see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!

SHADOW THAT NEVER LEAVES👥

We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.

Until Sunday, experience is the child of Thought, and Thought is the child of Action. We cannot learn men from books.
