When we set expectations and nourish them with appreciation, we will get better results.

CONTINUING THE SERIES OF APPRECIATION AND LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE FROM LAST WEEK. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello followers,

The weekend is here, this very moment and for Dan and I; yesterday was a busy day just running errands.

However; we did manage taking in a minor league baseball game. Yes, there is a team close by at Salem, Virginia. The team is the SALEM RED SOX, which is an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

I remember when I lived in Florida, Dan and I would take our daughter to the Tampa Bay Rays games. Back in the day they were called the Devil Rays. Well, it’s funny how life leads us in different directions.

For when the Tampa Bay Rays played the Boston Red Sox, Dan hated the way the Boston fans treated us; the Rays fans. Now the tables are turned and we are going for the Red Sox’s minor league team.

Turning to another subject regarding to health, most of us are led to thinking that treatments and medication will fix our bodies. Throughout the blog, Dan and I have been sharing that we need not only to fix the issue, but also get to the root (cause) or we just wouldn’t get fixed. All you do with treatments and medication is just bandage the problem. Don’t we all want to be fixed!

There are some important words that help to fix issues that I have not found on any other blog. These have been brought to Dan and my attention in order to assist us to manage our cancer. These words like; Karma, intuition, forgiveness, trust and the recent one appreciation; they are all preventions from diseases.

So, for now in life, and in relationships, it’s important to know what you want. As well, it’s important to know your worth, and not to accept or settle for less than what you want.

However, there are many people in the world that work hard to attain what they want, and no matter how big the goal that they’ve achieved, once they achieve it, they don’t want it anymore.

Whether that goal is a success in business, or in attaining a person’s love and affection, they simply don’t appreciate it, nor want it, once they have it. Many times, after someone achieves their goal, they still want it, but they don’t take care of it, or treat it with the same love and passion, as they did before they attained it, and they lose it and it.

When it comes to relationships, when a person works so hard to get what they want, it’s important that they appreciate it, and not take it for granted after they achieve it. Again, many people take others for granted when they have them in their life. Many times, people need to experience losing something that’s very dear to them, in order to appreciate what they had. It’s important to appreciate all of the beautiful gifts that we have in life, including our health, our friends, our family, as well as other people that come into our lives for whatever reason.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

APPRECIATION

Sometimes when we do good things, believe in people, or try our hardest, we seem to get nothing in return; not even a thank you.

While this can be very disheartening, please don’t ever think it was a waste of time. By putting good out into the world, you have done your part in making it a better place. Maybe you were not appreciated immediately, but maybe one day that person will look back and realize how kind you were to them. Maybe!

Until then, please accept a sincere thank-you from me on their behalf.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

WITH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today I’m continuing on CHAPTER TWO - WHEN THE PRESSURE IS ON.

When the pressure is on, you must ask, can I handle this any longer? The pressure is real!

How can you quit your job when your family needs the money?

How could you leave your spouse when you have a family to raise?

How do you live your own life without rejecting your parent’s demands?

How do you handle the sister-brother pressure to conform to their mold?

Pressure builds as siblings are pleading, parents are blaming, or the kids are crying. You feel songless because it does matter to you what others think. You do care about what happens.

The people who have power to exert pressure are important to you. So, how do you find your song again when you are still in the cage with the potential for being sucked back into the vacuum cleaner?

Well, here is how to find your song again; recognize what causes the tension, ascertain your options, consider the cost, know your limits, and own your choice.

We can live victoriously in almost any situation if we can control our thoughts and actions.

Understanding what’s going on may encourage us to consciously think through our behaviors, rather than merely act on automatic pilot.

Tomorrow. Stay tune!

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. Continuing on the health benefits on PEPPERMINT. You might be surprised!

Peppermint combats bad breath. Peppermint is also used in oral hygiene products like mouth fresheners, tongue spray and mouth wash to combat bad breath. It is even used as a flavoring agent in candies and chewing gums which provides freshness of breath.

It’s well-known that peppermint oil is just as good as mouthwash, if not better. It naturally freshens your breath and works to reduce cavities. All it takes is one drop of a therapeutic grade of essential oil on the tongue, and you’re set. Did you know mixing peppermint oil with coconut oil can also whiten your teeth?

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation . Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

10 Min Meditation - Gratitude - Daily Guided Meditation by Deepak Chopra

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can’t see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!

FEED YOUR EMOTIONAL NOURISHMENT

Until Sunday, there are realities we all share, regardless of our nationality, language, or individual tastes. As we need food, so do we need emotional nourishment: love, kindness, appreciation, and support from others.
