Words, like nature, half reveal and half conceal the soul within.

CONTINUING ON THE SERIES; THOUGHTS AND WORDS AND THE SERIES OF LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE FROM LAST WEEK. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello Followers,

It’s Friday again, the weekend starts and it’s time to party! Oh, and its Friday the 13th. Wait, some of us can’t for there is coronavirus mandates.

Dan and I are over it, and are enjoying ourselves in nature.

Blue Ridge Mountains and the wild life here we come. Since we bought our car last September, we have been exploring the mountains. This Florida girl is loving it as if you didn’t know by all my pictures that I have been posting of us walking. Love all the trails throughout the parks, for most of them are paved and are easy to walk through.

Today, since I’m left-handed; this goes out to all my lefties, HAPPY LEFT HANDERS DAY!!

Every morning when we first open our eyes, thoughts come to each and every one of us.

May they be negative or positive; you getting out of bed on the wrong side or not, we all have them. What has helped me are these key points, stress is not inherently negative; it all depends on how you look at things. If you perceive something as a threat, then your health will deteriorate.

However, if you simply change your mindset from threat to challenge, then you enhance your health! So, ask yourself; are you running away from a lion or are you embracing the beast?

Every morning as I make up my bed; while I smell the coffee that Dan just made, I remember that I will face challenges. But I will overcome them!!

Emotions are only energy in motion!

Instead of thinking of your emotions as a hindrance, consider them the currency required for the motivation to change. Unresolved feelings don’t atrophy or disappear, their dammed-up energies accumulate. Like an untreated health condition, if your emotions are allowed to fester inwardly, they will eventually cause physical conditions and behavioral issues.

Both negative and positive emotions left unresolved will deplete the body’s immune system.

Acknowledge your feelings and learn how to manage them effectively.

Managing emotions leads to homeostasis in the body, centeredness of mind, and spiritual connection.

Remember, if there are no peaks or valleys, you’re flatlining!

You know me, it’s all about body, heart and soul!

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

THOUGHTS AND WORDS

If you found out, realized, or learned something today that totally changes how you would once have acted or decisions you made in the past, don’t beat yourself up for not knowing it before.

Think instead of how much your life will change from this day forward now that you know it and of how much better and wiser your decisions will be in the future.

Be grateful you learned it today and not ten years from now.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

This is where we continue on the book: LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Today’s post will continue on – CHAPTER FOUR, GET OFF THE FENCE; MAKING THE CHOICE!

Let’s begin with when leaving is not optional! It is possible to live victoriously in relationships that are incredibly consuming, limiting, and controlling and still not lose who you are.

But sometimes the obstacles are so great and the dysfunction so consuming that to stay in the relationship means the life spirit is sucked from your soul.

Some relationships ravish you; they eat you alive, destroy your self-confidence, and riddle you with criticism.

They require you to give up your own identity, ideas, ideals, and goals.

A relationship out of control, like a disease out of control, is malignant.

Sometimes the responsible thing is to leave for the sake of those under your care or for your own mental or physical health.

Leaving may be the only positive option when you can no longer survive, when your self is dying.

The single most dramatic difference between healthy and toxic relationships is the amount of freedom that exists for each person to express himself or herself as an individual.

Stay tune tomorrow, I will continue with when leaving is not optional!

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ROSEMARY. It’s amazing what and how rosemary can help keep your body healthy?

This Friday the 13th, why not enjoy THE PERFECT CUP OF ROSEMARY TEA?

This recipe came from Christophe Bernard, an herbalist and author who lives in the South of France. This is where rosemary grows in the native habitat.

The perfect cup of rosemary tea features a very short sleeping time, which will bring out the aromatics. But not the tannins and bitters, which makes a lighter and more pleasant rosemary tea.

It’s also important not to be use water any hotter than 185F or it will destroy some of the aromatic qualities.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary leaves; remove twig

Instructions:

1. Place your rosemary leaves in a tea mug; reason, the leaves are so thin. There is no need to chop them.

2. Boil 1 cup water

3. Then let the water cool to 185F/85C

4. Pour the water over the rosemary and infuse.

5. Cover for 3 or 4 minutes.

6. Strain and enjoy.

Tomorrow, I’ll be ready to share with you the recipe of ROSEMARY TAPENADE. Be ready!

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

Above & Beyond - Flow State (Spoken Word Meditation with Elena Brower)

“Through raised awareness, being more present, one can reach a state of flow: a creative and free state of mind where time, fear and stress dissipate.” - Above & Beyond

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can’t see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. CONCEAL THE SOUL WITHIN 🌲🏞️

Words, like nature, half reveal and half conceal the soul within. #words#like#nature#half#reveal#conceal#soul#within#inspirational#motivational

Until Saturday, words are so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become, in the hands of one who knows how to combine them.
