The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.
Hello followers,
Are you ready for the last Tuesday of May!
One more day and then June arrives.
And on the 21st of June, it will be officially SUMMER.
This calls for happiness and joy.
This is the one thing we all seek in life.
Yet it is tough to define!
Of course, that has not stopped plenty of people from trying.
Countless poets, philosophers, psychologists, and artists have endeavored to pin down the meaning of and secret to happiness throughout history.
While there is no one answer, there are plenty of different approaches we can all use to enrich our lives.
So, this Tuesday, let us start to enrich our lives.
Check out some of our experiences on the page How Safe Is Mexico -
In capturing Mexico, I realized that all the warnings from the USA to go to Mexico was not true.
Mexico, just like the United States has different climates and as well crime in different places.
So, when they stated that Mexico was unsafe, that was not all true.
We live in a world that has good and evil; you just must know what areas are good.
Just like when we decided to move back to the states, Virginia; Roanoke area suited our needs and is right at the entrance of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The past three years, I have been posting areas that Dan and I have visited and thought how many of us know just what took place back during the Civil War.
Dan and I have decided to dedicate the rest of this year with our experiences and knowledge of the Civil War, through museums and to the countryside where many soldiers died to give us freedom in America.
Let us not ever forget what took place and why it happened in the first place.
And I welcome you to visit Mexico, the Guadalajara area, and Virginia if you have not yet done so.
Both places have so much history that date way, way back.
Continuing with a town near where Dan and I live, Salem.
In 1818 according to tradition, a flat-bottomed bateau was poled, pulled, and shoved from Weldon, North Carolina to Salem as a demonstration of the navigability of the upper Roanoke River.
Then in 1820 the Federal census recorded forty families and 209 souls in Salem.
And then in 1821 the Salem Register, Salem’s first newspaper is first documented in an article printed by a neighboring paper.
No known copies of the Salem Register from this time exist.
Continuing as in the previous posts; 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.
The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.
May 30th
EVERY MORNING WE CAN choose joy!
Choose to be happy in this moment.
Think about something that brings you joy and feel it deep within.
Feel yourself well up with happiness as you think about this joyful memory or promising future.
Take this feeling and know that you can connect to it all day.
You have the power to change your mind, and that is such an amazing thing!
PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong.
Dan and I have started back bouncing and walking to Walk at Home YouTube.
It is always important to change your routine around you but continue keeping a healthy lifestyle.
For us, that may be walking through a park, walking in a mall, or going to the gym and just staying home, bouncing, and walking to Walk at Home with YouTube.
This also includes daily meditation and twice a week Tai Chi.
If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
Until Wednesday, the habit of being happy enables one to be freed,
or largely freed, from the domination of outward conditions.
