EARTH IS WHAT WE ALL HAVE IN COMMON

Good Morning Monday,

It’s the last week of May and Memorial Day and it’s been 69 days of isolation for Dan and I. We are looking forward to June. Hoping that we will be able to go out and explore the Virginia area in the coming months. But until then, have a happy Memorial Day and be safe.

Dan just found some Tampa Bay Buccaneer masks on line, we will be stepping out with some fashionable team favorites. Plus, we also have the fashionable ones our daughter made us. We are all set to mingle with others, when it is safe.

and add your team in search.

This week I’m blogging about our environment, for this is where we survive and live within. The environment plays a big part on our health and the topic last week on Functional Medicine.

We are going to talk today about reasons why you should care about the environment.

You say why, you should care about the environment?

Well, to keep the earth beautiful, the climate is changing whether you like it or not, resources, resources, resources, respect God's creations.

The environment around us is an essential part of human survival. I like to believe that people who do not care about the environment, simply do not understand how important it is to all of us and that it does not affect them directly, so I’m hoping that this will put it perspective.

One of the most important reasons to protect the environment is because it helps protect different ecosystems. An ecosystem is a geographic area where plants, animals, and other organisms, as well as weather and landscapes, work together to form a bubble of life. Over the years, humans have discovered that many ecosystems are more complex than was originally thought and are deeply connected to other ecosystems. Human changes to one ecosystem, whether through environmental pollution or deliberate manipulation, can actually put multiple species in danger of extinction, necessitating the need to protect the environment.

Another reason is protecting the environment which protects humanity. A great deal of pollution, especially ocean pollution, ends up affecting creatures that humans later consume, meaning that humans are ingesting toxins.

The last reason, to protect the environment is that humanity has a moral obligation to the world and its creatures. Humans are responsible for taking care of the world, and protecting the environment is one way to be responsible managers of the world entrusted to their care.

“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

The term "global environment" refers to earth's environment in general. Many environmental issues primarily affect local and national areas. Others deal with problems that face the entire planet.

Many aspects of local ecosystems are self-contained. However, global environmental factors have broad effects on regions across the globe. If the planet's temperature rises considerably, ecosystems around the world are affected. The notion of a global environment deals with how connected even distant regions are and how events in one region affect everyone. While man-made factors receive the most attention, there are a number of natural factors as well. Volcanic eruptions, for example, can affect the entire planet.

“Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Road

We are one drop, however; together we are an ocean. It starts with you!

Until tomorrow, be safe and remember the earth is what we all have in common.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY
