DON’T YOU REALIZE THAT THE SEA IS THE HOME OF WATER? FLUORIDE

Good Morning Sunday, Its been 75 days and no interaction with people other then phone or on face-time, zoom. I’ve planning on waiting until things get clearer on what’s happening with the virus. What are you up to? Have you been going along with normal activities? I know the virus is just one element of how our environment is being polluted, which causes damage to our health or even death. If you look harder, you will see how horrible pollution is killing us slowly. I have been on the topic of how our environment is being polluted for the past week and posted about how important water is to our health. Did you know that the water in which we drink and shower is being polluted with several ch

INDUSTRIAL AGRICULTURE NOW ACCOUNTS FOR OVER HALF OF AMERICA’S WATER POLLUTION

Hello Happy Saturday, Dan and I have been hunkering down for now 74 days and finely feeling the withdraw of not being able to get my hair cut or even going to Barnes and Noble for a cup of coffee and a good read. Still playing it safe and social distancing ourselves from the public. Health is wealth and one of the most important components of survival is our water. Not just drinking it, but bathing in it could cause water-borne diseases. You may ask how does water pollution affect humans? Try drinking untreated water nowadays and your body will immediately react to it. You will get a stomach ache at the least. Water-borne diseases account for the deaths of 3,575,000 people a year! That’s equ

BY MEANS OF WATER, WE GIVE LIFE TO EVERYTHING

Good Day Friday, It’s the beginning of another weekend and its summer like weather, plus it’s been 73 days of our hunkering down. Dan and I have been noticing that there has been a lot of people starting to get out and mingle with others. On TV, they are announcing some amazement centers are opening back up as well as the beaches. Please be safe and keep your immune system up. Dan and I are doing something new, just started yesterday - Qigong for Beginners Feel your QI! This complete YOQI qigong flow routine designed for beginners to purge, tonify, regulate and circulate your qi. Continuing with the topic of water here is a quote that really comes to heart. “Water, thou hast no taste, no col

WE NEVER KNOW THE WORTH OF WATER TILL THE WELL IS DRY

Hello Thursday, Yesterday was very gloomy and rainy here in Roanoke. Dan and I started out walking without any rain, but half way through our three mile walk it started to rain. Thank goodness we had brought our umbrellas and was able to finish our 3-mile walk. How is the weather where you are? By polluting clear water with slime, you will never find good drinking water. Aeschylus Since it’s been rainy here, I thought I would start with water and how it effects our environment. This week I have been focusing on our environment and how we can make a change. Water also affects the environment in many ways. Water sustains life and plants and animals depend on its availability to develop and gai

ENVIRONMENT IS NO ONE’S PROPERTY TO DESTROY; IT’S EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT.

Hello Wednesday / HUMP DAY, Another day home bound, it’s been 71 days of hunkering down with my soul mate, lover and husband. I’m so amazed how the two of us have much in common, I guess perhaps its that we have been together for over 40 years. It’s incredible how sometimes we are thinking the same thing, which comes out of our mouths at the same time. We both have our environment close at heart and feel the same way keeping a clean one in our home. I was told by one of my doctors in Mexico, that you maybe not able to change the environment around your home, but you can inside. I took this to heart and researched what we can do to keep healthier and keep clean. To waste and destroy our natur

LET’S MAKE OUR WORLD A GREENER PLACE

Hello Tuesday, Hope all were able to step out and walk around with the fresh air brushing along your face yesterday. This is Dan and mine 70th day of isolation, we do walk around our neighborhood and use social distancing guide lines. I keep our mask handy for if anyone comes around us, however; we always cross to the other side of the walkway if anyone comes in our direction. I can say that we haven’t had to use our mask! Let’s make our world a greener place, for our health depends on it. Since my diagnosis nine years ago of breast cancer, I learned that our health comes hand to hand with the environment we live in. Food, water, pollution, chemicals all have in common with health and the en

EARTH IS WHAT WE ALL HAVE IN COMMON

Good Morning Monday, It’s the last week of May and Memorial Day and it’s been 69 days of isolation for Dan and I. We are looking forward to June. Hoping that we will be able to go out and explore the Virginia area in the coming months. But until then, have a happy Memorial Day and be safe. Dan just found some Tampa Bay Buccaneer masks on line, we will be stepping out with some fashionable team favorites. Plus, we also have the fashionable ones our daughter made us. THE ENVIRONMENT IS WHERE WE ALL MEET AND SHARE

Good Day Sunday, This weekend is Memorial Day weekend, hope all of you will be able to go out and enjoy the weather. Just a reminder to keep at a social distance with others. Dan and I are staying close to our place, making it our 68th day hunkering down. Our planet's alarm is going off, and it is time to wake up and take action! Leonardo DiCaprio During this hunkering down period, Dan and I walk around our neighborhood and realize how important our environment is to us. We often take things for granted and forget the importance of what the environment includes. Just think of what we are doing to the: Biotic processes: These involves living organisms and they affect the environment through e

DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE?

Good Day Saturday, It’s been 67 days of keeping enclosed from people, except on zoom or by phone. Even though the state of Virginia is on phase one, Dan and I feel uncomfortable about going out and mingling with others. So, for now we are still hunkering down. It was a wonderful bright day yesterday, after three days of rain. After posting this blog, Dan and I are going out for a walk. Thought of walking down to the hill and enjoying the tree leaves blowing in the wind with the spring flowers blooming. To waste and destroy our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very p

INTEGRATED MEDICINE COUPLES WITH FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

Good Morning Friday, Hello, the weekend is approaching us again. What are your plans? Are you going out? Remember to keep social distancing a practice and bring your mask. There is this saying that comes to mind, “Your soul feels lonely not when you lack company, but when you lack the cause.” ― Amit Kalantri, Wealth of Words Be safe!!! Dan and I are still hunkering down, it’s our 66th day in hiding. Singing In The Rain ☔🌧️☔ It's been raining🌧️ non stop now for three days.☔ But Dan and I still got our walk in today..🚶🚶‍♀️ “Functional medicine is about causes, not symptoms. It is getting to the root of the problem.” —Mark Hyman, MD This week I have been posting articles and information on

IGNORANCE IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF ALL DIFFICULTIES

Hello Thursdays, It is getting closer to the weekend and been hunkering down for approximately 10,920 hours, 655,200 minutes, 39,312,000 seconds. These seconds will never come back and I was thinking the other day of all the people that I could have met or things that I could have done. The positive note is its not going to last forever and what I can look forward to. Let’s start something fun, how many hours, minutes and seconds that you have been hunkering down? Are you still hunkering down? Sent me a message! Looking forward to hearing from you! Yesterday, Dan and I started this exercise that is new to us. We are enjoying it; Dan says it’s quite fun. Anti-Cancer Arm Swing Exercise (compl

FOOD AND MEDICINE FOR THE SOUL

Good Day Wednesday, Hello, its hump day and another day of hunkering down in the world of new normal. It’s been 64 days of some what isolation for Dan and I. We do go out walking and enjoy the fresh air. How have you been fairing with the opening of phase 1 in your area? Dan and I am finally seeing a Functional Medicine doctor here in Virginia. It has taken us four months to schedule an appointment. Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul. - Luther Burbank This week I’m focusing on Functional Medicine (the root of the cause). Today, I’m posting an article that I pulled from my blog that was posted on Sunday, June 5, 2011

A TINY LITTLE THING – IN A MUSTARD SEED.

Good day Tuesday, Hello, its 63 days since we have hunkered down at home. We still are staying away from social gatherings, even though our state has opened up with phase one. Since I was diagnosed nine years ago of breast cancer, my thinking is If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. I truly believe with positive energy and prayer you can move mountains. The story behind the mustard seed comes from the bible, and he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown on the ground, is th

IT ISN’T WHAT THEY CALL YOU, IT’S WHAT YOU ANSWER TO

Hello, Its Monday again, hope all had a wonderful weekend. Since some areas have started to open up, Dan and I are still hunkering down. It seems like yesterday, but its been 62 days now that we have not stepped into a store or been in contact with others other than on zoom. How many of you stepped out of your comfort zone this weekend? Also, how many joined me on Sunday evening for the meditation to honor our universe? Love to hear from you! A couple of weeks ago, I was inspired to write this piece, we all start the morning with the blessing of breathing for another day. Our divine power created us to be unique and we all have different talents, so what is the power of a name? Let us cons

POUNDING THE ROCK, POSITIVE THINKING

Hello all, Today since its Sunday; in 1881 a social activist NARAYANA MEGHAJI LOKHANDE (FOLLOWER of JYOTHI BAI PHULE) started a movement against the British to declare Sunday as a holiday. He wants Sunday as a holiday to take care of social problems around us. He continued the movement up to 8 years after that the British govt. declared Sunday as the holiday in 1889. For a lot of religion’s its also a day of worship. According to the Ten Commandments, the Sabbath is located on the seventh day of the week. Exodus 20:8-10 says the following, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. Dan an

LET YOUR TEARS WATER THE SEEDS OF YOUR FUTURE HAPPINESS

Hello, It’s the weekend and I’ve been keeping busy. Dan and I started a new event in our everyday life, it’s called the swing hand exercise; Pingshuai Gong is entry level Qi-Gong that founded by Taiwan Meimen master Lee Feng-San Shifu. Since hunkering down for 60 days, we have been incrementing walking around three miles daily, every Thursday doing yoga class from Mexico on Zoom, and now daily swing hand exercise. You ask what!! To do the arm swing exercise you'll start by standing on a level and firm surface with your feet shoulder-width apart. Starting at your hips, rotate your torso to the left. Your arms should be hanging loosely at your sides and will move only because your body is movi

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, IT’S A GIFT

Hello, Well, 59 days and counting, hopefully it will not be long until we get out and have some coffee at Barnes & Noble and mingle with people. We have taken this for granted and it would be a gift to be able to just step into a place without thinking of the corona virus. This will pass and we can renew this gift of socializing and being with people we love close, instead of zooming. Even if this time doesn’t feel like a blessing, I see it as it was! Zoom has brought Dan and I closer to our daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and mother. For they live out of town and we were able during this time to keep in touch with seeing them. If this didn’t happen, maybe we wouldn’t have story time with ou

ATTITUDE DETERMINES THE ALTITUDE OF LIFE

Hello, Are you doing okay? I would love to hear from you, even if its just a hello! We are just one drop, but together we are an ocean. Just send me a little message to let me know you are doing okay. What have you been up to during this shut down? Do you agree on opening up and gathering around others? Its been 8.286 weeks of hunkering down for Dan and I. Although, Dan has had to go get MRI’s for his prostate issues. Today he is scheduled for some lab tests. Other than that, we have just been staying around our place. Nothing different here, waiting to hear about when we can step out of our comfort zone of social distancing or at least somewhat. Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give

TAKE THE PRESSURE, USE THE PRESSURE, HAVE FUN

Hello out there, Is anyone reading this, are you under pressure? With the way the new norm is turning out, I feel there are more people experiencing pressure than before. I personally feel that pressure can be controlled with facts and knowledge. Dan and I are first to educate ourselves on new ways, like yesterdays topic going out of our comfort zone. Like this saying state: It is normal, to have pressure. It's how you respond. Take the pressure, use the pressure, have fun. Its Cold Outside🧥🧤🧣 Is it spring, or what 49 degrees 🌼 So, for Dan and I being hunkered down for 57 days they may be some pressure of uncertainty; however, we are keeping things fun. I wrote this piece several years a

LIFE BEGINS AT THE END OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

Hello, It was a lovely weekend in Virginia, for the sun shined. As we did our normal walks, I felt the sun beaming across my face. I hope everyone’s Mother’s Day was fabulous last Sunday! Mine was super, for I received a comforter on Saturday from my daughter that she designed. It’s now being sold at Target. At the end of the day we had a family zoom gathering. For Dan and I we’ve been hunkering down now for 56 days and keeping safe in our own safe space. Speaking of safe space, my topic for today is life begins at the end of your comfort zone. The comfort zone is a safe space where we don’t risk, but neither do we grow. It’s not simply a physical space but a mental concept. It’s not limite
