Every Day Can Be a Starting Point - Make a New Beginning.

CONTINUING THE SERIES OF QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

Hello followers,

They say it requires courage to not to let go, but start over again to succeed in life.

Life is full of unexpected and unexplained things and situations. The secret is to have more beginnings than endings. Today we are going to explore the ninth law of karma. Yes, KARMA!

The law of be here now.

"Be here now," that certainly sounds like a good idea; but what does it really mean?

Dan and I are not asking this question in a "mindfulness mediation" kind of way. Yes, mindfulness is great for slowing down your mind and paying more attention to what's happening around you.

Be here now. How do "be-ing" and, well, "here-ing" go together? Might they be same thing?

"Here" is not a location, it's a verb. You aren't just "be-ing," you're "here-ing" as well. The two can't be separated. Here-ing is the way we are always showing up someplace. Our presence is always present at the place where we're looking from. In a sense "here-ing" is the continual manifesting of our perspective. It's the only way we are ever in the world. You have to admit that the only access anyone gets to it is through our intimate on going experience, the "be-ing" which makes the "here-ing."

So, while we like to imagine our maps of the objective world, no one ever gets to experience that. Instead, we have this remarkable never-ending interaction between whatever it is that we are and whatever it is that's out there. Here-ing is what makes a place out of that.

We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. – E.M. Forster

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

THERE ARE 12 LAWS OF KARMA

Law ninth – THE LAW OF BE HERE NOW.

You can’t go home again, but you must try. Home means your emotional home the starting point you were at as a child, when you trusted fully and believed in love and in the good in people.

Years of pain and bad experiences can cause a person to become bitter and change their beliefs to ones that are self-centered, mistrusting and withholding of love in an attempt to protect themselves from pain. But to live in that space is to live in a constant state of pain. Freeing oneself from that prison is up to the individual.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

A weekend break or week-long vacation is the perfect time to switch off your tech. it might not be practical to turn off your phone for the whole time, but make sure you log out of your email and all your social media sites for the duration of your trip. Now you’re free to enjoy your getaway without trying to Instagram every moment and checking to see how many likes your posts have.

So much of social media is about approval, getting likes, comparing our lives to others; meanwhile confidence is an inside job. Its about how you feel about yourself regardless of what anyone else does or thinks. By Jen Sincero

SIMPLE JOYS

If you’ve switched off from social media, find a connection in real life. Book yourself in for a massage. Research shows that even 15-minutes massage can release enough oxytocin and endorphins to keep the feel-good factor in your system for up to 48 hours.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. Today I’m going to continue blogging on the herb – NUTMEG. Now since I’m home from my mini vacation and have the book of recipes, next week I’ll share some with the ingredients of nutmeg.

Continuing on some more benefits of nutmeg. Everyone wants bright, healthy, youthful-looking skin. With skincare products flooded with both natural and chemical treatments, it can be hard to choose one that will work for you. Instead of playing Russian roulette with your skincare, try some natural remedies you can make at home instead. Nutmeg offers a wealth of skincare benefits when used topically, and when consumed.

Nutmeg has both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help keep your skin looking its best. It can help to unclog your pores as well as eliminate stubborn blackheads. The spice can also help to give your skin the smooth, supple appearance that you normally will only find with expensive exfoliation products. Nutmeg can be used as an external physical exfoliator by creating a paste of the powdered spice mixed with pure, raw honey. This can be used in the same way that you would use a store-bought facial scrub.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are looking for a spice that is both full of flavor as well as healthy, nutmeg benefits you on both counts. One of the added health benefits is thus to also build strong bones and teeth.

Bad breath is often caused by an overgrowth of bacteria in the mouth and gut. Nutmeg antibacterial and antimicrobial properties can help to reduce odor-causing bacteria and sweeten your breath.

If you suffer from joint or bone illnesses, nutmeg benefits you most of all. Because of its anti-inflammatory qualities, the vitamin C found in nutmeg will ease the symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Furthermore, it benefits your health by building up a stronger immune system. Vitamin C works by producing collagen – this substance is essential in creating connective tissue. This, in turn, helps the body to repair wounds and injuries. The eugenol can also help prevent cavities and support healthy gums.

As I continue to share portions of my book that I wrote four years ago; sharing Dan and my personal journey of our everyday experience with treatments that we received in Mexico.

In relations to the current series of QUOTES ABOUT LIVING, 9-22-12; GOLDEN YEARS - BY DAN MALIN

I have to admit this is not something I thought I would ever be doing, but here I am blogging like my wife Sherry has been for the past two years. I had no idea it would only make sense, considering that she has reached out to the people of the world about her illness and what she went through--why not one for the guys out there, since I found out I have prostate cancer.

In case you did not notice from previous writings, I am the husband of the renowned blogger and my name is Dan. I will start off in my writings with what my mother-in-law stated to me about a year ago, when I turned sixty. She said, “Dan it’s only now going to get better for you. Time will be your friend and you may begin to enjoy what we call the Golden Years.” Ah, yes--I can't wait I wish to share a little poem about that, since I'm living them and experiencing what to expect.

I hope you relish my thoughts about the Golden Years until my next post!

The Golden years are here at last.

I cannot see

I cannot pee

I cannot chew

My memory shrinks

My hearing stinks

No sense of smell

I look like hell

YES, the Golden Years have come, and now only time will tell.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress). So, by now you know this is always in our routine for healing and keeping our body cells happy.

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation . Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!

TRANSFORM OUR WORLD

May we transform our world through examples of loving-kindness, joy, compassion & serenity. #transform #world #examples #loving #kindness #joy #compassion #serenity #inspirational #motivational

Until Saturday, remember starting over can be challenging, but also it can be a great opportunity to do things differently. Don't be afraid if things seem difficult in the beginning. That's only the initial impression. The important thing is not to retreat; you have to master yourself.

So, today practice the law of be here now.
