If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness. It will change your life mightily.

CONTINUING THE SERIES OF APPRECIATION AND LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE FROM LAST WEEK. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello followers,

It’s always important to think about the consequences before letting something so beautiful leave your life, and even more so when you’ve worked so hard to attain it.

This is so true, sometimes we take things and people for granted. Yesterday Dan and I with some friends adventured out to Shenandoah National Park

Thinking back to years ago, today I reminisced on the times we shared other adventures with Debby and Michael from the past. A thought came over me, for how thankful for friends that we have shared wonderful memories with. I can go back through some of my old photo album books and remember the good old days sharing time with them.

CLICK THROUGH SLIDE SHOW AND ENJOY.

Love and appreciate what you have when you have it. Some people never get to experience such beautiful things in life such as love, and being loved.

In other words, never take love for granted. When you work so hard to attain something in life, it’s important to follow through and work hard to maintain it. Getting what you want is only half of the battle. Maintaining it and keeping it is the other, and the more important half.

Appreciate the people in your life by showing them love, kindness, respect, and generosity. Treat them as you hope to and deserve to be treated back in return.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

APPRECIATION

Everything in the world has a natural ebb and flow. The tides move out but flow in again. While the flow is much more comfortable, the ebb has great meaning.

When time and resources are stripped away, you can see clearly what and who truly matters to you and whom you matter to in return.

When your flow returns, you’ll know exactly with whom and where your time will best be spent with a brand-new appreciation for it all.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

WITH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

This is where we continue on the book: LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Today I’m continuing on CHAPTER TWO - WHEN THE PRESSURE IS ON.

Consider the cost, the reason pressure is felt in difficult relationships is that going against the will of a screwed-up person will cost you.

The overall benefits of any situation must be weighed against the losses.

The pressure is on because you care and you don’t want to lose a relationship you value, but you also don’t want to lose your ability to govern your own life.

Every path has its cost. Make your decision and then don’t fret over the choice.

Wallowing in self-pity just makes it worse, keeping your emotions bouncing off the fence you are scraddling.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. Continuing on the health benefits on PEPPERMINT. You might be surprised

Peppermint is a potential anti-cancer agent. It contains Perillyl alcohol, a phytonutrient, which is shown to stop the growth of pancreatic, mammary and liver tumors.

It also protects against the formation of colon, skin and lung cancer.

Vitamin C in peppermint plays a moderate role in decreasing colon cancer risk.

Vitamin C is the main water-soluble antioxidant which is needed to decrease the levels of free radicals that cause damage to cells. Beta carotene and other cartenoids have also shown to reduce the risk of developing colon and rectal cancer.

Cartenoids are also known to increase cell differentiation and protect the cells against carcinogenic chemicals that could damage DNA.

Tomorrow I’ll post more peppermint benefits.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Spent yesterday on an adventure to the Shenandoah State Park with longtime friends from Florida. Thank you, Debby and Michael, for a wonderful day.

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation . Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

10 Minute Guided Meditation for Body Appreciation

10 Minute Guided Meditation for Body Appreciation. In this brief ten-minute meditation, Dr. KJ Foster guides you through a mindfulness exercise designed to inspire gratitude.

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can’t see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!

NOTHING ELSE

Until Thursday, nothing else can quite substitute for a few well-chosen, well-timed, sincere words of praise. They're absolutely free and worth a fortune.
