Halfway through the work week and Dan and I are learning mindfulness.

We do meditation daily, which throughout the blog have been mentioned several times over.

Mindfulness is all about being present.

Being in the moment and appreciating everything good as it happens can help you accomplish the feeling of surrender.

It enables you to regulate your emotions, which is especially helpful if you struggle with feeling the need for control.

It also reduces stress, which increases with the need for control.

As Dan and I start a new year; we will be posting daily 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.

March 15th

EACH BIRD HAS A SONG, and early in the morning birds welcome the day with their breathtaking chorus.

Singing high in the trees, they chirp to welcome the rising sun.

Have you ever stopped to listen to the chirping of birds?

It is beautiful and melodic; each song is different.

Take a moment today to pause and hear the birdsong, wherever you are.

Notice how many birds are singing along.

This mindful act will invite peace into your day.
