Happy Hump Day!

As I rise and shine, I did begin to think of todays title to this post; The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking. This message, hits home to Dan and I, for without changing our thinking on the course of treatment eleven years ago; the outcome would have been different.

Much like the uncertainly we are facing in the world today, it can not be changed without changing our thoughts.


There’s a ‘secret’ that all great historical and present thinkers, philosophers, and high achievers have agreed to be a universal truth.


This secret revolves around this simple idea: You are what you think.

All these great minds discovered the secret to living a happy, purposeful and productive life, and it’s this; we live in a world of thought.


Our thoughts create our experiences, and thus, we experience what we think.


It is the quality of our thoughts, then, that create the quality of our life.


When we’re unhappy where we are in life, we seek to create change.

So, we go about transforming our environment believing that doing so will create the necessary change we hope to see.

We buy things for a materialistic boost of happiness.


We travel to escape our problems.


We seek substances to numb the mind and help us forget.

But of course, we fall back to where we had started; unhappy with where we are today.

And so, the cycle repeats itself.


We buy, we travel, we forget; always focusing on the external factors we need to alter in order to create better circumstances.

How many are you out there are left-handers?


I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

THROUGH PICTURES

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

If you want to change your relationship, you must figure out; am I messed up, are you messed up, or are we both doing wrong?


To a large degree, satisfaction or disappointment in life depend on our putting on glasses to look realistically at what is possible within the relationship, so energy is not wasted, waiting and longing for the improbable.

Real life is never as perfect as the magical relationships where prince’s return after fighting their dragons, kiss their beautiful maidens, and change all the bad into good as they move out together toward the sunset.


In fantasy, relationship problems always go away.


In real life, magic has nothing to do with solving the problem.


Hard work is needed to make the necessary adjustments and compromises as we realize what is possible, what is improbable. And what is simply not going to be.

Healthy people adjust their fantasies to work with reality.


Tomorrow, MEETING YOUR OWN NEEDS.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of SAGE. It’s amazing what and how sage can help keep your body healthy?


Sage may protect against certain cancers.

Cancer is a leading cause of death in which cells grow abnormally.


Interestingly, animal and test-tube studies demonstrate that sage may fight certain types of cancer, including those of the mouth, colon, liver, cervix, breast, skin and kidney.

In these studies, sage extracts not only suppress the growth of cancer cells but also stimulate cell death.


While this research is encouraging, human studies are needed to determine whether sage is effective at fighting cancer in humans.

Test-tube and animal research suggest that sage may fight certain cancer cells, though human research is needed.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!


Today our walk was stop 🛑 and go, inside and outside our local mall.

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
