Hello Followers,

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

ree

There is something so therapeutic and magical about the ocean, whether swimming or diving in it, sailing on it, or resting on the beach next to it.

Just being on the coast or the bay conjures up many different emotions.

We know very little about our world’s seas, yet we feel inexplicably tied to them by nature.

For me, living in Florida for most of my life, the salt water and being near the beaches brought me so much joy and memories.

It is time to dive into the incredible health benefits of thyme and explore easy ways to incorporate it into your lifestyle today.

Consider the ways in which thyme is used in the culinary world, often to add flavor and depth to a meal.

So, again do not underestimate the power of spices and herbs in promoting health.

Ever had food poisoning?

Thyme may be able to help prevent it.

A 2013 study found that thyme oil showed potential as a natural preservative of food products against several common foodborne bacteria that cause human illness, even at low concentrations.

In addition, a 2011 study found thyme oil effective against resistant strains of Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, Escherichia, and Pseudomonas bacteria.

It is important to note that this does not mean that ingesting thyme oil will prevent you from getting food poisoning.

Plus, if you were to take thyme supplements on a regular basis, you would also likely be killing a lot of the good bacteria in your gut.

KNOWLEDGE IS A TREASURE, BUT PRACTICE IS THE KEY TO IT

DID YOU KNOW!

Darkness is more than the absence of light; it is a biological signal. When night falls, our bodies release melatonin, align the circadian rhythm, and enter the deep, restorative sleep essential for brain and body repair.

But modern life disrupts this ancient cycle.

In cities, artificial light pours into bedrooms and streets, interfering with melatonin release.

The result?

Poor mood regulation, weakened immunity, and disrupted metabolism, all tied to irregular light exposure.

Researchers say protecting natural darkness may be one of the simplest yet most powerful steps to preserve mental health, cognitive function, and long-term resilience.

Sometimes, the best safeguard for the brain is simply letting night be night.

LIFE LESSONS FROM THE OCEAN, soothing wisdom from the sea – By Richard Harrtington

GET YOUR FEET WET IN THE OCEAN

Life began in the sea, just a few billion years ago.

Now the ocean shapes our lives without us realizing it.

Stabilizing our climate and providing oxygen to breathe.

But it gives us so much more, food, travel, and fun.

Just by it influencing our mood and state of mind.

It has powers to refresh, give perspective, and take away the pressures of life.

Its untiring motion is tied with our own daily rhythms, influenced by the moon and sun.

We have come to realize how fragile and damaged it has become, but the more we know the more we can do to repair it.

And if you spend just a little time by, on, or under the waves, learning more about it becomes simply addictive.

The sea has so much to say; as you join us in the coming posts, you will discover the secrets and gems that lie beneath.
