Dan and my love of the outdoors rests in a sense of wonder and awe at the beauty of nature and the wildness of the outdoors.
We feel no matter the risks we take, we always consider the end to be too soon, even though in life, more than anything else, quality should be more important than quantity.
Words are powerful; small words like Om and Mom have a much deeper impact than imagined.
The moment child utters ‘Mom’, a mother’s world changes forever, a stream of happiness flows in her heart and life.
Om, the powerful word, carries with it the strength of the entire universe.
Sit quietly with your eyes closed and start chanting Om.
Peaceful vibrations start pervading in the body and charge the environment with positive energy.
Positive words improve life, where negative words ruin.
Therefore, it is very important to be careful while conversing because words convey a lot.
How many are you out there are left-handers?
I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.
It’s time to share some words from THE LEFT-HANDER’S HANDBOOK.
Left-handers, who make up only 10% of the population; account for almost half the students in remedial reading courses.
No one is sure why this is the case, but most experts agree it stems from the fact that in the western world words go left to right.
The less said about left-handed writing, the better.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.
Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

Today I will continue on – CHAPTER FIVE; PULL OUT THE SPLINTERS.
If you are to find contentment in the midst of challenging circumstances, you must get rid of the splinters.
Splinters are the wrongs and broken dreams that lie buried within our heat.
Before we can pull out splinters, there must be a splinter search.
That means soul searching, prodding, and poking, and it is painful.
Many find the hurt too much, the deep inner turmoil too great, the justification, blame, anger, tears, aching, and longing too arduous to overcome.
So, they quit believing that if they ignore the disappointment and hurt festering around the splinter, they will get used to it.
The buried splinter, however; continues to produce its poison.
YOU NEED TO PULL OUT THE SPLINTERS.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).
I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!
Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
