CONTINUING ON CIRCLING BACK, A COMPLETE CIRCLE OF LIFE. PLUS, THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello followers,

It is Hump Day and last Wednesday of 2022.

COUNT DOWN; three more days.

Have you ever tried to find balance in the areas of your life, but just cannot seem to do it?

Has it ever frustrated you that you seem to be thriving in one area, but failing in another?

You may be thriving in your health eating program but failing in spending time with your closest friends.

You may even be enjoying your career so much that you have forsaken time to be creative in art you enjoy.

Maybe you have often felt like balance, satisfaction, and health in every area of your life just is not possible.

Well, Dan and I are personally guilty of all the above and we have felt frustrated at times.

Until pursuing function medicine, imbalance was a common theme in our lives.

What is the Circle of Life?

The Circle of Life is to discover which non-food areas in our lives we are missing, and how to incorporate more joy and satisfaction into our lives.

The twelve areas in the circle include spirituality, creativity, finances, career, education, health, physical activity, home cooking, home environment, relationships, social life, joy.

What are you missing?

DECEMBER 28th, Dan, and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about December that is so significant during this month?

National Call a Friend Day – December 28, 2022

Christmas is over and New Year’s is on its way.

But in the meantime, December 28 is National Call a Friend Day!

Between the stress of the daily grind at work, the needs of your family, and ensuring you have a little time for yourself, our lives can get hectic.

National Call a Friend Day reminds us of all to take a few minutes, pick up the phone, and call that friend you have been meaning to get back in touch with.

In modern times, technology has the capacity to unite us more than ever before.

The internet is not fazed by distance, time zones, or how much money you have in the bank.

But in our day to day lives of whizzing from one task to the next (or even multi-tasking on all our projects at once), technology often has the opposite effect.

Checking emails, answering texts, responding to Facebook notifications, and other tech-based tasks can fill up our lives and make us feel less connected to the people we are spending all our time connecting with!

So, with the holiday season rapidly ending this year, try on December 28 to reach out with a phone call and connect, voice to voice, with a good friend.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes, one quote and share with you.

Today is:

MINDFULNESS IS LOOKING AT THE MOMENT WITH LENSES IF COMPASSION. COMPASSION IS BEING NON-CRITICAL, BEING GENTLE.

Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, Ten-Minute Relaxation, For Mind and Body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; TOUCH

TOUCH THE ESSENCE OF CARE-

SWITCHING ON THE SENSE

Today, ABDOMEN SELF-MASSAGE SEQUENCE/TEN-MINUTE EXERCISE

Sit comfortably somewhere warm and quiet.

1. Take one teaspoon of your chosen blend from yesterday’s post into your right hand. Then smooth it all over your abdominal area, covering all the skin surface.

2. Starting at your right hip, using your right hand; stroke up under your rib cage. Go down your left side and across your lower abdomen, making a complete circle. Repeat this five times. Keep the movement slow and firm.

3. Using both hands, starting at your sides; crisscross the hands over the top of your abdomen. Do this slowly five times.

4. Repeat the circling movement from step two. This using both hands together, starting at the right hip and moving up and around five times. The abdomen should feel warm and soothed.

5. Now cover the abdomen with a towel and place a hot-water bottle on top while you sit and relax. The heat helps the oils to penetrate and relieves pain and tension.

This sequence can be given to another person. The main thing to remember if you are massaging someone else’s abdomen is that your touch needs to be gentle and respectful. Concentrate on the warmth of your hands to give them maximum comfort.

Tomorrow, BABY, AND INFANT MASSAGE

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

THE WHOLE UNIVERSE

The whole universe is based on rhythms. Everything happens in circles, in spirals. #circleoflife#thewhole#universe#isbased#onrhythm#everythinghappens#incircles#inspiral

Until Thursday, we came whirling out of nothingness, scattering stars like dust.

The stars made a circle, and in the middle, we dance.
