We do not fear the unknown. We fear what we think we know about the unknown.

Hello followers,

NEW SERIES ON FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN

If you have a fear of the unknown, it’s because you’re already imagining all the negatives that you THINK are going to happen.

But in reality, if it’s unknown you have no idea what’s going to happen!

So, you have just as much chance of being right if you think amazing things are going to happen than if you think horrible things are going to happen. If you have been following my blog, Dan and I have been blogging from positive thinking- your mind set to common sense for the past two weeks. Fear goes hand and hand with these topics.

The fear of the unknown can sometimes be very difficult to describe because this fear is nothing more than a mental obstacle. More than often, it curbs an individual’s ability to perform to the fullest in various walks of life. Every time an individual encounters an unfamiliar situation, the fear manifests itself, and prevents an individual from taking the right decisions in life. Usually, an individual chooses to run away from the situation, and in the process losses certain opportunities in life. There are times when an individual has to move away from his/her comfort zone to experience better things in life.

The fear of the unknown prevents an individual from leaving his/her comfort zone.

It took courage for Dan and I to just pick up and move to Mexico, nevertheless; go to a foreign country and have treatment methods that wasn’t FDA approved. But the fear of surgery, chemo, and radiation outweighed trying something different. After researching the other methods, our fear dropped and I knew my decision going to Mexico for treatment was the right one. Yes, it did pay off!

If you can relate to the above symptoms of fear, you would be glad to know that you can get rid of the fear of the unknown by incorporating some simple changes in your life. The basic step involved in fighting the fear is to educate oneself about the fear and then confront it, rather than avoiding it.

Remember, the fear of the unknown can make way into your life through various different sources.

While some individuals worry about their new job, new relationship, there are others who fear about their body weight, public appearance and so on.

We all have fear of the unknown what one does with that fear will make all the difference in the world.” – Lillian Russel

This is a comforting reminder that everybody is just as scared of you about the unknown.

We all have this fear. But you get to choose whether you’re going to let this fear hold you back, or whether you’re going to run toward it!

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

INTUITION

Intuition comes in many forms. One is a jolt to a stop. This happens when a trigger is set off in you that feels like a threat to either your self worth or your survival centers.

Think of an exaggerated example; if you were walking in the woods and suddenly spotted a bear a few yards away, looking right at you – your body would freeze, stiffen and straighten. If in any daily circumstance, you feel this within, pause and try to identify what caused it.

Is it a real threat or a trigger that is familiar to a past threat but has no real relation to today?

Intuition will let you know something is amiss, but then it’s up to your mind to process and figure out what exactly it means to you.

GIVE YOUR SOCIAL LIFE SOME ADDED VALUE

It’s great to catch up with friends, but often a one-on-one chat can feel a bit intense and draining. Lighten the mood and make the most of your time by suggesting an activity you can do together.

If you like a bit of exercise, suggest meeting for a walk or a run. Or if the weather is fine, explain you’ve got a gardening project you’d love their help with, or maybe they’d like some help painting a room. By working together on a joint project, you will create a more meaningful experience for both of you; making the time you spend together even more valuable and positive.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. Today I’m going to continue blogging on the herb – NUTMEG. Did you know the all benefits of nutmeg?

Dan and I were surprised by some! I’ll be using this herb more often. LOVE THIS RECIPE – SPICED CARROT CAKE!

Dan loves carrot cake, but most recipes are full of sugar and tend to be fairly bland. This recipe is a dense coconut flour cake with a generous amount of delicious aromatic spices.

It’s been recommended making it a day ahead as this cake does’ taste even better the next day.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I never get enough of the creeks here along the Greenway in Virginia. Loved the walk, love hearing the birds chirping and breeze.

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation . Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!
