TODAY CONTINUING ON THE SERIES; GRATITUDE AND HOW IT CHANGES OUR BRAIN TO BE HAPPIER. PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY. ALSO, CANCER: CIVILIZATION’S -NO. 2 KILLER?????

Hello followers,

Tuesday, here we come!

Rhyme of the day; An attitude of gratitude.

This is not only a great rhyme but a great way to live.

You should always be grateful for the things you have.

Thankful for everything, big and small; that fill your life and make it special.

With the hustle and bustle of modern-day life, too many people get it backward.

They decide they will be grateful when they get a promotion, a new job, a home, a new car, a raise, gifts, or other tangible things from people they know.

But this is backward.

If you want to gain more success and more happiness, then the first step is to be grateful for the many things you have.

Only after you build an “attitude of gratitude” can you begin to grow and build on your happiness or achieve a measurable level of success that does not feel empty.

Continuing, GRATITUDE AND HOW IT CHANGES OUR BRAIN TO BE HAPPIER.

So, how does gratitude impact the mind and body?

3 – You will not feel the benefits right away

In the study, researchers found that the participants did not report the benefits of the gratitude letters right away.

Instead, the gains accumulated over time.

Although the three groups had about the same mental health one week after the conclusion of the study, individuals in the gratitude group reported better mental health than the others four weeks after the writing activities, and an even more significant difference 12 weeks after the end of the writing exercises.

These results show how something positive that we experience or engage in, no matter how small, can affect us even weeks afterward.

This happens with exercise, healthy eating, meditation, and other healthy habits.

Indeed, we typically do not see the benefits at first but notice them gradually over time.

The researchers do not know why this positive effect occurred weeks after the experiment.

They think that perhaps the participants discussed the gratitude writing exercise with counselors or other people in their lives, which reinforced the positive feelings that the activity promoted.

NOVEMBER 15th, Dan, and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about November that is so significant during this month?

I Love to Write Day – November 15, 2022

I Love to Write Day is celebrated on November 15 every year.

Writing is a form of communication that has been around since the very beginning, and lots of people love to do it.

It is one of the most magical ways of sharing your ideas with the world.

I Love to Write Day was started by an author called John Riddle, from Delaware.

He wanted a day set aside so that everyone, no matter their age, could spend some time writing.

It does not matter what people write if they write what they want to.

John Riddle was a writer, he wrote over thirty-four books and tons of articles.

He believes that writing is a very good way for people to express themselves creatively.

So, he decided to challenge people to set one day aside for writing.

He believed that I Love to Write Day could launch the careers of the next bestselling author if they sit down and write!

Writers across the world write on all sorts of topics, in many different forms.

There are fictional and non-fictional books, novels, short stories, poems, plays, essays, articles, songs, and scripts.

They may write for themselves, for blogs, for newspapers, or be working with publishing houses.

Some writers may also be illustrators or work with illustrators to add pictures to their books.

A lot of writers are self-taught, although many might choose to improve their skills by taking a short course, or even a full degree in the kind of writing they want to pursue.

There are courses journalists, bloggers, and creative writers of all kinds.

Writers are needed everywhere because a good writer is one who can convey ideas clearly.

So even if you are a scientist, you still need to be a good writer if you want to talk about your research!

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

HAPPINESS IS HAVING A LARGE, LOVING, CARING, CLOSE-KNIT FAMILY IN ANOTHER CITY.

Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, Ten-Minute Relaxation, For Mind and Body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; SMELL

SMELL; TIME CYCLES AND RHYTHMS-

AROMA BREAK-

10-minute exercise, you can match your essential oils to your moods and the times of the day; start the day with uplifting aromas.

Use oils that promote harmony at mid-day, then unwind with floral scents.

Tomorrow, MORNING-

As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to find that we all have our own blueprint.

Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.

Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the separate ways through body, heart, and soul.

It is all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.

Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.

It is important to know how it works!

Cancer: Civilization's - No. 2 Killer

Continuing today on Important--Note Well,

Smoking is the primary cause of lung cancer, but research has shown that its role in producing lung cancer is mainly that of an irritant triggering new growth in tissue already precancerous.

Asbestos causes similar irritation.

The role of smoking as a primary cancer cause is its effect of introducing carbon monoxide into the bloodstream and reducing available oxygen to the tissues.

Strong sunshine is thought to be the prime cause of skin cancer, but it is no such thing; it is an irritant which triggers new cell growth that is true, but skin cancer only eventuates in skin, which is pre- cancerous, and when people adopt a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet they find the skin cancers no longer occur.

CONTINUE TOMORROW-

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
