Be moderate in order to taste the joys of life in abundance.

CONTINUING ON THE NEW SERIES MODERATION IS THE KEY TO LIFE AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO? BONUS, THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING.

Hello Followers,

It’s the weekend!

And count down 21 days until CHRISTMAS.

Since the holidays are here, we all tend to go though some sort of stress, which leads to a vice.

Everybody has a habit (vice)!

Dan and I love organic coco.

What is yours?

We all need to remember that when we are experiencing stress in our lives, or we feel there is no time to be healthy, a little bit of what we fancy is going to help us in the long run.

It will give us more confidence to make choices that support us rather than hinder us.

Because many believe that our health should be constantly perfect, which is commonplace in every part of our lives.

And when we are constantly being told that we've got to be healthy, and we have to avoid anything that can cause us the slightest bit of harm, we become fearful of anything unhealthy.

Instead of operating like this, it's important to operate with the mindset that everything in moderation is fine.

So many of us demonize unhealthy things that it feels like we have got into bed with the devil when we are just consuming a little bit of chocolate.

A little bit of what you fancy is not bad for you at all.

And in fact, it can be very good for your mindset.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

We all have our stresses and misfortune to cope with, but that doesn’t mean stress is the natural human condition.

On the coming post, this chapter will cover variations on two fundamental and complementary life skills; dealing with stress and finding true peace.

Included are some handy stresses busting quick fixes, as well as longer-term approaches to keep anxiety at bay.

There’s guidance too on lifestyle changes, everything from rationing your onscreen time to doing simple mindfulness meditations; that can coax peace into your everyday routines.

TENSION IS WHO YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BE. RELAXATION IS WHO YOU ARE. By Chinese Proverb

This is interesting!

The Six Sense Doors Activity is a mindful group activity that involves being aware of all your six senses from the name itself.

The six senses in this context are hearing, seeing, smelling, touching, tasting, and thinking.

This activity’s origins come from Buddhist teachings to experience an enlightened world by being mindful of our six senses and what they can provide.

For this exercise, all group members should be sitting down in a circle.

Each participant has to say what they’re hearing, thinking, seeing, and so forth in the present moment.

It might be overwhelming at first, but it teaches you to become aware of your surroundings and your internal emotions and thoughts through your six senses.

After the designated person says what they’re thinking, hearing, seeing, and feeling, they must name one of the six senses for the next person to talk about first.

Doing this helps prevent any member of the group plan in what they have to say in advance.

After all, this defeats the entire concept and purpose of mindfulness to focus on the present moment.

If you’re planning in your head, you aren’t paying attention and listening to the people around you.

By engaging in this mindful group activity, it allows you to focus on your current state.

It also helps you notice something you usually wouldn’t have been aware of because of the lack of mindfulness and focus.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

DID YOU KNOW?

One of left-handed artist M.C Escher’s, most famous lithographs; Drawing Hands, portrays a left hand holding a pencil and sketching a right hand.

The right hand is in turn holding a pencil and sketching the left hand.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 10; BUTTONS AND TRIGGERS

Starting on STOP RESPONDING TO BUTTONS

If you are twisted and tangled in a relationship mess, you can find ways to unscrew and untangle if you study your buttons and refuse to pull the triggers that pushes you into reactive behavior.

Free yourself from the controls your SUP exerts.

Stop the tug-of-war games and the dysfunction by understanding what can be understood, changing what can be changed; compromising when that is possible.

Negotiating the best within the circumstances, finding lessons in the difficult and focusing on hope in the midst of the impossible.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of HAWTHORN. It’s amazing what and how hawthorn can help keep your body healthy?

Did you know

Hawthorn can decrease blood fats.

Some studies indicate that hawthorn extract may improve blood fat levels.

Cholesterol and triglycerides are two types of fats always present in your blood.

At normal levels, they’re perfectly healthy and play very important roles in hormone production and nutrient transport throughout your body.

However, imbalanced blood fat levels, particularly high triglycerides and low HDL (good) cholesterol, play a role in atherosclerosis, or plaque buildup in your blood vessels.

If plaque continues to accumulate, it could completely block a blood vessel, leading to heart attack or stroke.

In one study, mice given two different doses of hawthorn extract had lower total and LDL (bad) cholesterol, as well as 28–47% lower liver triglyceride levels, compared with mice that did not receive the extract.

Similarly, in a study in mice on a high-cholesterol diet, both hawthorn extract and the cholesterol-lowering drug simvastatin reduced total cholesterol and triglycerides about equally, but the extract also decreased LDL (bad) cholesterol.

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).
