Experience is not what happens to you; it is what you do with what happens to you.
THIS WEEK CONTINUING ON, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.
Hello followers,
Happy Thursday and the first day of FALL.
Ancient people had no modern clocks, but they could measure the hours of night and day by using geometry.
People discovered that the sun rose and set at a slightly different place each day of the year.
When the sun reached its northernmost point, marking the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, it was called the summer solstice.
The sun’s southernmost point marked the winter solstice or the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere when the North Pole was tilted the farthest from the sun.
The equinoxes occur twice yearly, and on those days; the sun rises directly in the East and sets directly in the West.
Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.
So, until then let us begin as Dan and I have been blogging about our experiences with alternative treatments for cancer and the after care of keeping healthy; have taken it one step farther by adding a fundamental part of why we exist.
Last week we started to blog on the properties of life, characteristic traits.
Dan and I have posted on four characteristic traits: organization, metabolism, homeostasis, growth, reproduction, response.
Today we will be exploring the seventh trait, Evolution-
Populations of living organisms can undergo evolution, meaning that the genetic makeup of a population may change over time.
In some cases, evolution involves natural selection, in which a heritable trait.
Such as darker fur color or narrower beak shape, lets organisms survive and reproduce better in a particular environment.
Over generations, a heritable trait that provides a fitness advantage may become more common in a population.
This making the population better suited to its environment.
This process is called adaptation.
In combining our physical and mental functions, we can control our bodies and keep them healthy.
It took me a long time to realize this for myself.
Hopefully, this will help you, our followers.
So, let us discuss one of the seven life multipliers, that Dan and I had been posting on.
We’ve have posted on, self-empowerment and self-control, renewable vitality, emotion mastery and conscious communication.
Today it is on, Smart Focus-
With smart focus, you can get things done in the most effective and efficient manner.
You will know how to take control of your time and energy by working smart.
Tomorrow, Learning and Adaptability-
SEPTEMBER – 22nd, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about September that is so significant during this month?
Fall Equinox – September 22, 2022
Summer has slipped away.
Hope you enjoyed the season.
The 2021 fall equinox arrives in the Northern Hemisphere on September 22 at 19:21 UTC.
WHAT DOES THE FALL EQUINOX MEAN?
Astronomically it is the day when the sun crosses the celestial equator heading south.
Thus, the fall (and spring) equinoxes provide Earth with roughly 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness.
Oh, and after another blazing sizzling summer, the first day of fall signals cooler weather.
From the time of the Druids, the fall equinox signaled the end of the harvest.
Then, winter preparations began.
Families celebrated with parties and other social gatherings.
Autumn lasts until the winter solstice.
Today, city dwellers often head to the countryside.
For example, rural New England, to take in the changing colors of the leaves.
Symbolically, the fall equinox reminds us to be grateful for the harvests in our own lives over the course of the year.
This fall equinox, take time to reflect on the bounty of nature and the possibilities for abundance in every part of your amazing life.
DOES THE FALL EQUINOX HAVE A SPIRITUAL MEANING?
That all depends on what you believe.
The equinox brings an end to spring’s rebirth, signaling a period of darkness and decline.
What does that mean to you?
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
Today is:
LEARN FROM YESTERDAY, LIVE FOR TODAY, LOOK TO TOMORROW, REST THIS AFTERNOON.
Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.
Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.
This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.
Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!
Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.
By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.
CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; TASTE-
TEN MINUTE FRUIT BOOSTS-
Many of our foods these days are full of artificial ingredients and chemicals that blunt our taste buds.
The extreme sweetness of saccharin, used to flavor many fizzy drinks; is potentially addictive.
In France, where good-quality food has been appreciated for centuries; there is the tradition of eating a fresh-fruit sorbet, quite literally to clear the palate.
In the middle of a meal, the flavor of fruit is cooling and soothing to the mouth.
As well as being full of vitamins and minerals, which are highly beneficial to health.
Fruits are alkaline and help to balance the digestive system.
Tomorrow, A BURST OF FRESHNESS-
As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to the findings that we all have our own blueprint.
Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.
Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the separate ways through body, heart, and soul.
It is all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.
Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.
It is important to know how it works!
Germs and Viruses????
If then the supposition is correct that evolution could not occur by chance alone, it must be that there exists in Nature some guiding force which, even if working by trial and error.
Nevertheless, works with a purpose.
This was the conclusion arrived at by Darwin himself in his later years when speculating on the intricate structure of the human eye.
Louis Pasteur was not the only scientist to have second thoughts on an unproven theory.
Thus, we talk about the wisdom of Nature and of Nature's grand design, or simply acknowledge God Almighty.
Who was it said: If God did not exist it would be necessary for man to invent him.?
Thus, it becomes clear that an understanding of evolution does not deny the existence of God; on the contrary, it confirms it.
When people talk about human evolution, they usually assume it commenced only a few million years ago, starting from an ancestor in the form of some sort of ape.
Others refer further back to the origin of the line of primates from which the apes evolved.
But going even this far back reveals only changes in shape, size, and brain capacity.
Biologically and anatomically, the modern human is practically identical to these relatively immediate ancestors.
So further and further back you can follow the evolutionary trail, granted with gaps here and there and find that even earthworms have hearts, blood and immune systems of a rudimentary kind.
Until tomorrow-
The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
