Gratitude is the wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk.

THIS WEEK DAN AND I WILL CONTINUE ON THE SERIES; GRATITUDE AND HOW IT CHANGES OUR BRAIN TO BE HAPPIER. PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello Followers,

Happy Hump Day!

Are you ready for Thanksgiving Tomorrow?

The holiday season tends to get a bit frenetic, and Thanksgiving dinner kicks things off with a bang.

Although the holiday centers around gratitude, that message can get lost in the shuffle as you're trying to juggle the miles-long list of tasks required to pull off the sides-heavy Thanksgiving meal.

Between getting the house ready for people to come over, choreographing the cooking so everything gets done (and not overdone) in time and making sure everyone is entertained along the way, Thanksgiving can be one of the most hectic days on the calendar.

At least you can keep your guests busy with festive activities and family-friendly games that distract them from the chaos, or you can throw on a Thanksgiving movie to keep the kids where you can see them.

But let this be your opportunity to remember that the holiday is all about giving thanks and sharing gratitude for friends, family, health and all the blessings in our lives.

Whether you're looking for a blessing to say before you carve the turkey or an inspiring Instagram caption for your Turkey Day pics.

Continuing, GRATITUDE AND HOW IT CHANGES OUR BRAIN TO BE HAPPIER.

How to incorporate a gratitude practice into your daily life?

Today we will explore the first of seven scientifically proven benefits!

Gratitude opens the door to more relationships.

Not only does saying “thank you” constitute good manners, but showing appreciation can help you win new friends, according to a 2014 study published in Emotion.

The study found that thanking a new acquaintance makes them more likely to seek an ongoing relationship.

So, whether you thank a stranger for holding the door or send a thank-you note to that colleague who helped you with a project, acknowledging other people’s contributions can lead to new opportunities.

NOVEMBER 23rd, Dan, and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about November that is so significant during this month?

National Espresso Day – November 23, 2022

What’s the difference between espresso and just plain coffee?

According to professional baristas, it doesn’t really matter what kind of bean you use, or how it’s roasted.

it’s all in the way the beans are brewed.

Forcing pressurized water through finely-ground coffee beans produces a concentrated brew with its signature delicate foam.

This foam, or crema, to use its proper name, contains concentrated sugars and oils from the beans, adding a light sweetness that helps balance out the bitterness.

Grab an espresso on November 23 to taste the difference for yourself!

WHY DAN AND I LOVE NATIONAL ESPRESSO DAY

It's an all-day wake-up call

Whether you like your espresso straight up or blended into a latté or cappuccino, just a single shot can perk up even the slowest morning mover.

Adding espresso to a chocolate smoothie creates a luscious mocha pick-me-up in the afternoon, and espresso also makes the perfect after-dinner drink, especially if you're having tiramisu for dessert.

It gives us that Euro-chic air

One sip of steaming hot espresso, and we're transported to an Italian piazza, surrounded by ancient cobblestones, weathered statues, cypress trees, and hundreds of years of history.

Talk about traveling on a budget!

And those tiny cups that espresso is traditionally served in?

They're simply molto alla moda (very trendy).

It’s an excuse to try something new (do we need an excuse?)

Are you a strict black coffee person?

Try a shot of espresso instead.

If you like your morning brew a little lighter, order a latté (you can choose how many shots you want added to that steamy, foamy milk).

Or how about espresso added to hot cocoa for a sophisticated mocha drink?

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes, one quote and share with you.

Today is:

THE DAY YOU LET GO OF FEAR AND INSTEAD EMBRACE UNDERSTANDING, IS THE DAY YOU BEGIN TO LIVE.

Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, Ten-Minute Relaxation, For Mind and Body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; SMELL

SMELL; TIME CYCLES AND RHYTHMS-

AROMATIC SKIN AND HAIR TREATS-

Are you ready for the second skin treat recipe?

SWEET ORANGE AND ROSEWOOD YOGURT MASK

Yogurt is another wonderful natural ingredient that soothes the skin and nourishes the upper cell layers; here jojoba enriches the mixture.

1. In a small bowl put three tablespoons organic unsweetened yogurt.

2. One teaspoon jojoba oil.

3. Two drops sweet orange and two drops rosewood.

4. Stir together and apply to the face avoiding the eye area.

5. Leave on for ten minutes.

6. Wipe off with moist cotton pads.

7. Rinse skin with warm water and pat dry.

Tomorrow, how about a recipe treat for your hair and scalp?

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.
