Hello Followers,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Today as I sit and blog, thinking about this year with all of its downs and highs.

I have to be thankful this Thanksgiving for my husband and the choice that we made together regarding our continuous health.

With the knowledge of doctors showing us how to manage cancer and the different types of treatments that are out there.

I learned that it’s all about you and how you take care of yourself

Through it all I have accomplished healing and managing cancer.

I have a new lease on life and will continue to teach what I have learned so that others can see how important it is to keep eating the right foods and staying away from chemicals.

How important our immune system is to keeping diseases away and how important it is to keep your cells happy.

Through reading and research, I’m finding that emotions effect our daily health; karma, intuition, forgiveness, trust, appreciation, love, thoughts, words, power, time, faith, self-worth, happiness, and our six senses.

I wrote a book about five years ago and in the book this message has stood out in my everyday life.

COLOR, I believe that all-purposes can exist and be shown through artful expression.

We live in a world surrounded by and immersed in color.

The relationship to the spiritual and physical nature can be thought to find emotion through it.

We often dream this way, which may be an unconscious result of our thoughts.

Maybe the color in our dreams represents hidden thoughts and memories such as fear, anxiety, love and joy.

The point here is that I trust the emotional state of our lives can be expressed through art and just as significantly, color.

You see an art to be born, and an art to die;

An art to plant, and to pluck up that which is planted;

An art to kill and an art to heal;

An art to break down and an art to build up;

An art to weep, and an art to laugh;

An art to mourn and an art to dance;

An art to cast away stones and an art to gather stones together;

An art to embrace, and an art to refrain from embracing;

An art to get, and an art to lose;

An art to keep, and an art to cast away;

An art to rend and an art to sew;

An art to keep silence and an art to speak;

An art to love, and an art to hate, an art of war, and an art of peace.

WHAT IS YOUR JOURNEY OF LIFE?

God created us with a body, a mind, and a soul. '

Each of us is granted these to use in a pure and earthly way.

I have come to believe that being connected to my spiritual path, will finally show the purpose of my journey.

The idea that spiritually our journey is unique to any one individual is incorrect.

What is there to be discovered is the potential to realize that within us lies the canvas and the color to create an infinite universe of unbounded love and peace – in other words, our own masterpiece of art.

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.” – John F. Kennedy

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF

VALUE YOUR MIND

Having a lower IQ than someone else is rather like not being tall, it’s a given.

Don’t worry about this; IQ is an artificial construct.

Everyone has their own way of being clever, their own permutation of intuition, rationality, empathy, imagination and creativity.

Value your mind for what it is and use it to the full to keep it nimble.

So, you’re not a professor!

Neither are you President of the USA.

Accept who you are with pride.

THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING

The visual impressions you take in have a surprisingly profound effect on your mind, body, and emotions.

Watching violent movies or television shows triggers your body’s stress response, creating jittery cells and suppressing the immune system.

In contrast, looking at peaceful or beautiful images creates a cascade of soothing neurochemicals in the body.

Surrounding yourself with images that uplift your spirit is as important for your health as nutritious food.

Spending time in nature is healing for your mind, body, and soul.

When you view a gorgeous sunset, look into the eyes of your beloved, or see a magnificent painting, you cultivate the power of your inner pharmacy.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

DO THIS!

Drop a pen on the ground.

Pick it up.

The hand you pick the pen up with is usually your dominant hand.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

MEMORIES OF OUR THANKSGIVING'S IN MEXICO

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 10; BUTTONS AND TRIGGERS

IF YOU ARE EXPLODING, IT ISN’T BECAUSE SOMEONE PUSHED YOUR BUTTONS; IT’S BECAUSE YOU PULLED YOUR TRIGGER.

BUTTONS

BUTTONS ARE THE DANGER SIGNALS THAT WARN US OF UNRESOLVED PROBLEMS.

Controlling triggers is possible if you respond to your buttons as opposed to reacting to them.

How?

Program your mind to act rather than react.

ACT; DON’T REACT.

Until tomorrow –

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?

Did you know that elderberries are natural diuretics?

Elderberries promote both bowel moments and urination.

Studies show that elderberries have natural diuretic effects, which means they promote the production of urine.

Doctors often prescribe diuretics if your body retains excess fluids, and older adults often encounter this complication.

Moreover, elderberry juice is a good laxative and facilitates natural bowel movement and is, therefore, a great remedy for constipation.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

Guided Mindfulness Meditation - Thankful Every Day

You are worthy of love.

And, you are worthy of loving yourself.

This means having forgiveness for yourself and taking care of yourself first.

This will, in turn, result in a deeper care for others.

This guided mindfulness meditation will focus on these ideas.

Let the ambient music and my relaxing voice allow you to find calm and peace, free from anxiety - whether listening in the morning, before sleep, or any free moment during the day.

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash #tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it.

PRIMARY FOCUS

Until Friday, may you be free of worry, regret, anxiety but instead be filled with appreciation for the gift of today, the gift of this moment, your moment of power. Wishing you a joyous day. Please remember to share inspiration, you may just turn someone’s day for the better.

This year interacting and having time with our grandson was one of our highlights to be very thankful for, it’s magical when parents turn into grandparents.

It’s special to know that Dan and I are living history to Jonah, that we give him the reassurance of his roots on Danielle’s side and Justin’s parents on his side.

Likewise, Jonah gives us continuity.

Dan and I are looking forward in bringing endless joy to our daughters’ family’s life.

We will continue to show this joy, along with our innate wisdom and playfulness.

Another highlight was exploring Virginia, and all its wonders.

Capturing the history, beauty, and climate.

The world has enough beautiful mountains and meadows, spectacular skies and serene lakes.

It has enough lush forests, flowered fields.

It has plenty of stars and the promise of a new sunrise and sunset every day.

What the world needs more of is people to appreciate and enjoy them.

Dan and I are so grateful to be able to experience these wonders of the earth.

Creating memories this year, happy and sad; sharing time with family and friends down in Florida and also in North Carolina.

The bonus was finding out that Dan and I will be soon grandparents again next year in February.

Life is good,

Gratitude tells both of us that our hearts and our minds have reason to take the next step forward.

Next year, will be full of more adventures; along with more memories to treasure.

DAN AND I WISH YOU A SAFE AND PHENOMENAL THANKSGIVING.
