Self-care means giving yourself permission to pause.

Wow it is hump day, Wednesday!
It is incredibly important that each of us take the time to practice self-care.
When we practice genuine self-care, we get the opportunity to understand ourselves better, recharge our batteries before they are empty, and maintain the ability to make a difference for our loved ones and communities.
Self-care is a phrase often used but not always understood.
Because while some people believe it is all about candles, yoga, and meditation, which incidentally are great tools, there is a lot more to it.
Or a lot less, depending on you and your lifestyle.
There is no one rule for all.
Some people thrive on walks and organic eating, whereas others find pleasure in more simple acts.
However, if you choose to incorporate self-care, good habits will help balance your mind, body, and soul.
Try switching off your phone for an hour or four and spending time connecting with yourself.
Or maybe you just need to say no!
No to that overtime at work.
No to getting involved in someone else’s problems.
And that is OK!
Adopting a self-care relationship does not make you selfish or thoughtless.
It just means you are allowing yourself to flourish mentally, physically, and emotionally.
So, this Wednesday let us start developing good habits to help balance your mind, body, and soul.
Dan and I each day practice our own routine and continue to learn more ways to keep our bodies healthy.

BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF TODAY.
Take the day to notice your body’s cues.
Listen to your intuition.
Slow down.
There is no need to rush through this day, mindlessly producing.
When we get wrapped up in this mindset; we tend to ignore the subtle signs our bodies send out.
Take time today to stop and listen to your intuitive cues.
Learn the messages so that when they present themselves you will recognize them and heed your needs.
With gentleness, great healing can happen.
PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong.
Dan and I have started back bouncing and walking to Walk at Home YouTube.
It is always important to change your routine around you but continue keeping a healthy lifestyle.
For us, that may be walking through a park, walking in a mall, or going to the gym and just staying home, bouncing, and walking to Walk at Home with YouTube.
This also includes daily meditation and twice a week Tai Chi.
