CONTINUING SERIES ON EMBRACING THE PRESENT MOMENT AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO? BONUS, THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING.

Hello Followers,

Happy Saturday!

For most of you, there is a four-day weekend; I hope you are all enjoying each and every moment.

Life can be hectic and unpredictable, but it’s important to slow down, be present and take time to appreciate the finer things in life.

Wealth, what is it?

Many of us are wealthy in numerous ways although we simply do not recognize it.

Enjoy the wealth you already have in your family and friends, in your health, in your freedom, in your knowledge, and most importantly, in yourself.

This moment contains all moments.

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF

BEYOND THE GYM

For those who find the gym too tame, here are some left-field exercise suggestions:

· Orienteering

· Wild swimming

· Woodland management

· Tandem cycling

· Latin dancing

· Indian dancing

· Kung Fu

· Kickboxing

THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING

Most of us have five major senses, but the sixth one is rare.

You have to open your mind and have more faith for you to receive information through your sixth sense.

This sixth sense enables you to perceive things beyond what you can see, hear, taste, touch, or smell.

For instance, you might enter a new place and you suddenly are filled with a sense of foreboding, which makes you backtrack.

You may not know what made you stop in your tracks or why you chose to not go further, but getting away from that area "felt" right.

You may later realize (and sometimes never know) that there was impending danger there, which your sixth sense picked.

Tomorrow, continue on some signs that your six sense is active.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

HIGHLIGHT FROM THE HISTORY OF LEFT-HANDEDNESS

1976; devoted to the interests and needs of southpaws around the world, Lefthander’s magazine originally called Lefty made its debut.

It was founded by Dean Campbell, a Kansas businessman.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 10; BUTTONS AND TRIGGERS

ACT; DON’T REACT.

Buttons are the pressure values that release built-up tension.

These pressure values are warning signals that major problems are buried that are struggling to get to the surface.

Failure to respond to buttons to be releasing the tensions causes the pressure to build, eventually triggering internal earthquakes.

These internal shake-ups and meltdowns make it obvious that nursing resentment is as dangerous to love and relationships as is carrying a lighted match around dynamite caps.

It’s just a matter of time before everything blows up.

The surprise is that even with many symptoms clearly indicating unresolved problems, we are flabbergasted when the safety values release a spurt of stream.

Continue tomorrow –

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?

Today I’ll share the recipe for ELDERFLOWER TEA.

Versions of this recipe have been passed down for centuries and are often attributed to 20th century herbalist Juliette de Bairacli Levy, who spent time learning about herbs with the gypsies of Europe.

For best results, put the hot tea in a thermos and drink throughout the day.

Ingredients:

½ cup dried elderflowers (20 grams)

¼ cup dried yarrow leaves and flowers (9 grams)

2 tablespoons dried rose hips (15 grams)

2 tablespoons dried peppermint (4 grams)

Honey to taste (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring 3 ½ cups water to a boil.

2. Place all the herbs in a 1-quart jar.

3. Cover with the just boiled water and stir.

4. Steep, covered for 30 minutes.

5. Strain well.

6. Add honey, if desired.

7. Drink warm.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

A little bit more walking the day after Thanksgiving.

Two miles to the video, walk at home and two miles at the mall.

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Classic 2 Mile Workout by Walk at Home

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

The POWER OF NOW | 20-minute Guided Meditation

Step back from your busy daily life for a few minutes.

Most of the energy you lose, vanishes through your thinking mind, your mental factory.

Wandering between yesterday and tomorrow.

So, please come back to the now.

This guided meditation is about getting back to this moment, right here, right now.

Let me take you to beautiful Ibiza (where we live), to have a break and feel the power of nature.

If you are depressed, you are living in the past.

If you are anxious, you are living in the future.

If you are at peace, you are living in the present.

- Lao Tzu.

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are has #tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it.
