Happy Weekend!

Thanksgiving.


It is nearly here.


And perhaps you are ready, but perhaps you are not.


Maybe the slow cooking of the turkey does not match the pace of Thanksgiving Day.


You dread the hustle and bustle through preparations and juggling of expectations and all the things.


And maybe today you need a break for a few minutes, a time out to sit with gratitude and let it soothe the hurry and worry.

So, it is time to explore gratitude and how it changes your brain to be happier.


In the past, most research studies about gratitude focused on well-functioning people.


However, two professors from Indiana University wanted to see how gratitude could influence the brains of those who struggle from various mental disorders.

They did a study involving nearly three hundred adults consisting of mostly college students who were in counseling for mental health.


The participants reported having poor mental health at the time of the study.


Furthermore, the researchers recruited them just before their first counseling session.


Most people seeking counseling at this university struggled with issues such as depression and anxiety.

The professors divided the students into three groups.


All of them went to counseling services, but only the first group was told to write a letter of gratitude to another person every week for three weeks.


The second group was instructed to write about their deepest thoughts and feelings surrounding negative experiences.


The third group did not journal at all.


The results?

Compared with the second and third groups, the first group who wrote gratitude letters reported much better mental health after their writing exercises ended.

This study proves that gratitude letters can help everyone, even those who struggle with severe mental illnesses.


In fact, it seems from this study that practicing gratitude, along with counseling services, supports more than psychological help alone.

Nobody can solve all their problems without any help or inspiration from their surroundings, and the purpose of Chicken Soup for the Soul Day is to take a fresh approach to thinking about problems.


It helps to find creative solutions that can address underlying issues, which people are normally not willing to confront.

It is also a day to celebrate the heroes who have emerged successful and happy from their personal battles.


The National Chicken Soup for the Soul Day is celebrated to inspire people who are going through a difficult phase in life and help them heal their souls.


Chicken Soup for the Soul Day is a brand that publishes inspirational books and movies and has an active online community.

The Chicken Soup for the Soul franchise started in the early 1990s when two life coaches, Jack Canfield, and Mark Victor Hansen, planned to compile over one hundred different motivational stories in the form of a book.

The title for the book was not decided overnight.


Jack and Mark decided to meditate every day until they produce a name that they like.


What Jack produced after hours of meditation was his grandma’s chicken soup.

Jack believed that the book could heal people from inside, just like his grandma’s chicken soup could cure anything.


In the early 1990s, the first edition of the book was released.

One of the main reasons that made the book popular was the fact that it consists of inspirational life stories of ordinary people who overcame adversity.

And it became a popular gift to give during the Christmas season.


Within a year after its launch, the book started appearing in the lists as one of the top-selling books of the United States.


To date, Jack and Mark have managed to publish over two hundred different books under the same series, featuring motivational stories that were sent to them by their readers.


In the late 2000s, Jack and Mark Victor decided to expand their brand and launched different pet food and TV shows.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

THE CAR-

It is possible to buy vaporizers specially designed for use in the car.


You simply put your oils into the unit and then plug it into the cigarette lighter, where the oils are warmed and circulated.

Cancer: Civilization's - No. 2 Killer

Primary cancer occurs mainly in tissues which in their day-to-day function have a constant wearing out and renewal of cells: tissues such as the skin, the lining of the digestive tract, the respiratory tract, and the female genital canal.

Apart from the fact that the cells in these tissues tend to rapidly reproduce anyway, these tissues are exposed to irritation of various kinds which promotes normal renewal growth.


New growth requires temporary de-differentiation of cells in any tissue, and if the tissue is in a pre-cancerous state any irritation or injury may be sufficient to trigger partially de-differentiated cells into becoming cancer cells.

It has been postulated in the past that irritation or injury may be a cause of cancer, a postulation which of course is incorrect because irritation or injury cannot trigger cancer in healthy tissue.
