CONTINUING ON THE NEW SERIES, REMEMBER TO CELEBRATE MILESTONES AS YOU PREPARE FOR THE ROAD AHEAD AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERB – DANDELION.

Hello Followers,

Celebrating milestones also helps reinforce positive behaviors and attitudes, both of which are important when tackling a new task or challenge.

Today we are going to explore the 4th experience that we all experience and that is, making a friend.

Children often have a few friends before they start school.

Maybe they met in daycare, or their parent’s arranged playdates for them where they got to know each other.

But starting school gives children the opportunity to choose their own friends for the very first time.

And that typically leads to stronger connections and longer-lasting friendships.

It’s the 10th day of June, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about June that’s so significant during this month?

National Herbs and Spices Day – June 10, 2022

National Herbs and Spices Day falls on June 10 every year and celebrates the world of diversity when it comes to these often-teensy flavoring agents, which nevertheless pack a punch!

What would food even be if it weren’t for the herbs and spices that make every dish unique?

Since herbs and spices are cooking essentials, it therefore; makes complete sense that they are given a day of recognition for their contribution to mankind and its culinary journeys thus far.

The great thing about many herbs is that they can be freshly grown in your own garden patch or on your kitchen sill.

What can be better than eating your own homegrown produce?

There are just so many ways in which herbs and spices make all our lives better.

National Iced Tea Day – June 10, 2022

Tea has been around forever.

However, iced tea didn’t burst onto the scene and win over America’s hearts and minds until 1904.

In that year, visitors to the St. Louis World’s Fair were greeted by exceedingly hot weather.

Tea plantation owner and merchant Richard Blechynden, who was present at the fair, took advantage of the situation by selling chilled tea drinks; instead of hot tea as a cold refreshment.

The rest is history.

On June 10, we fill our glasses with iced tea, sweetened or unsweetened; that’s your call and celebrate National Iced Tea Day.

CHEERS!

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Chapter 16; IS DIFFERENT SCREWED UP?

Continuing today on; REALITY CHECK THREE; THE EFFECTS OF PERSONALITY-

Closely related to personality is the way people draw conclusions and make decisions.

People are either thinkers or feelers.

People who come to decisions on the basis of logic do not understand people who go against reason to determine a course of action.

Feelers think those who must follow a logical process are cold and insensitive.

Feelers need thinkers; thinkers need feelers, but too often they battle each other rather than appreciating the differing perspective that offers expanded insight.

This is the spot that Dan and I have been posting, on the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs.

This week Dan and I have been blogging on the herb; DANDELION and the benefits.

It’s amazing what and how dandelion can help keep your body healthy?

Here’s another recipe- DANDELION ROOT VINEGAR

Dandelion root is high in minerals and apple cider vinegar helps extract the mineral content.

It is a convenient way for you to incorporate dandelion into your life.

You can use this herbal vinegar to make your own salad dressing as part of a marinade, or even as a digestive prior to eating a meal.

Ingredients:

Fresh or dried dandelion root

Apple cider vinegar

Jar with glass or plastic lid

Instructions:

1. If using fresh dandelion root, fill the jar with the finely chopped root.

2. If using dried, fill the jar 1/3 full, to leave room for the root to expand.

3. Fill the jar with apple cider vinegar.

4. Cover with a glass or plastic lid.

5. Infuse this for 2 weeks, shaking once daily.

6. Strain when ready.

7. This does not need to be refrigerated.

8. Use within 1 year.

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.
