Dan and I are attentive to the opportunities and we seize them as they arise.
We have full confidence in ourselves and our abilities.

I believe and have faith that Dan and I can do all things that we commit to.
No obstacle is too big or too difficult for us to handle because what lies inside us is greater than what lies ahead of us.
We aim every day to commit to improving ourselves and aim for getting better daily; personally, together as well as sharing our experiences.
We do not hold back by regret or mistakes from the past for they are lessons for the future.
Both of us explore and learn together as well as moving forward to the future.
With FAITH, absolutely nothing is impossible for us.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness
As a breast cancer survivor, I have gained a lot of knowledge throughout the five years that I have been managing cancer.
The key word is not pink; but prevention.
One out of every third person gets breast cancer.
Just imagine you sitting in the waiting room along with two other women waiting for a mammogram.
The chances are that one of you has cancer.
To me that is not preventing you from not having cancer.
What is preventing you from not getting cancer is education.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
My hopes and goal are to have every school offer a class on prevention and how to maintain a healthier lifestyle.
As I was gathering material on what can cause cancer, I learned that it’s not just one thing that we need to look at.
1. You are what you eat!!
It can be the foods you are eating.
Cancer feeds on processed sugar and wheat.
So, stay away from them.
Chemicals are in our foods.
So, eat all organic foods
2. It can be the products that we use such as; soap, deodorant, shampoo, hair dye, laundry detergent.
It’s anything that you have in contact with.
It only takes 29 seconds to absorb in your skin.
3. Exercise, may it be dancing, a sport, walking, swimming or going to the gym.
Moving for a least ten minutes can contribute to good health.
4. Meditation, Yoga and breathing techniques helps with the stress and keeps your mind healthier.
5. Sometimes supplements are needed to build your immune system up.
These are steps to ward off cancer.
Cancer cannot live in heat and oxygen.
So, if you have to kick start to fight this disease, then go for a procedure that doesn’t cause your immune system to get weak and that has long term side effects.
There are so many methods that manages cancer, but if you do not take care of yourselves after the fact, the cancer is not going to go away.
See cancer happens for a reason ~ so you not only have to kill it, but take care of it from the core and maintain your health.
Coming from my heart, pink is out.
Instead of donating for someone to find out they have cancer.
Why not just educate people on how to stop it from beginning in the future?
It’s free to gain knowledge, for the internet is a great way to gain information.
That is the first step of awareness.
Join me in this petition to have education in the schools in learning preventions and awareness of cancer.
Also, for insurance companies to pay for other methods to fight this disease.
It should not be a hardship for anybody to experience.
Take a stand and help me change the thinking of cancer.

Compassion dissolves anger.
Understanding why someone behaves the way they do allows for forgiveness when they have mistreated you.
Maybe they are insecure or in pain, or maybe they suffered some type of abuse in their lifetime and you can see why they are the way they are.
But when your compassion extends to excusing them for treating you poorly over and over, it not only damages your self-worth; but prevents them from healing as well.
Refuse to allow it to continue, for everyone’s sake.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.
Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

CHAPTER 8; HANDLING FRAZZLED EMOTIONS
Blogging today on when someone steps on your feet, it hurts.
Out of control feelings, be aware that emotions that control you; paralyze you.
There are six distinct feelings that controls us when struggling to keep balance in a difficult relationship.
As I post each one tomorrow, look at each one of these feelings briefly.
Try to reflect how many times you use one of these feelings as an excuse for not going, not doing, not standing as an adult in your difficult relationship.

I didn’t know that nettle prevents osteoporosis!
Since Dan and I’ve been blogging on this herb, this week while we went grocery shopping; I picked up some.
Yesterday I made homemade pizza and along with other herbs, I add nettle to the mix.
Some of us often think that osteoporosis is associated with old age, but in truth just about anyone of any age can have it.
Osteoporosis is defined as a disease in the bones in which the quality and density decline.
Normally as people age the bones dissolve and create cells simultaneously in a process called remodeling.
However, the bones of those with osteoporosis lose cells quicker than they can build new ones.
This causes the bones to be fragile and feeble, and in a worst-case scenario, it may even crack just from a light blow or sneeze.
It is hard to perceive since it occurs silently and in phases, and is only known once the first fracture happens.
Anyone can acquire osteoporosis; however, it is most susceptible for post-menopausal women to develop this.
Research has found out that there are many minerals contained within nettle leaves, most important being calcium, magnesium, and iron.
These minerals aid in preventing the gradual deterioration of bone mineral density.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).
I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!
Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
