Hello Followers,

Welcome to Thursday!

When living in Florida, surrounded by the bay, there was nothing Dan and I found it more calming and relaxing than being by water, listening to the waves rolling in and out.

Do you feel the same way around the ocean?

Now living surrounded by mountains, every night before we go to bed, we turn on white noise which is waves rolling.

Life’s roughest storms prove the strength of our anchors.

It is time to dive into the incredible health benefits of ginger and explore easy ways to incorporate it into your lifestyle today.

Ginger was often used as a love potion or given as a gift to express desires for love and affection.

So, again do not underestimate the power of spices and herbs in promoting health.

Ginger finds a prominent mention in Chinese medicine as a facilitator of the digestive process.

While many of its benefits are established as part of traditional medicinal history, a review published in 2019 in the journal Food, Science & Nutrition asked for more human studies to understand effective dosage.

The study, however, agreed that there was substantial anecdotal evidence, backed by clinical trials.

It is also frequently used as an appetizer or an aperitif since it can stimulate the appetite while preparing the digestive system for an influx of food.

It works well as a carminative, thus helping with flatulence.

KNOWLEDGE IS A TREASURE, BUT PRACTICE IS THE KEY TO IT

DID YOU KNOW!

An apple cider vinegar soak is incredible for foot health helping to heal toenail fungus, soothe sore foot muscles, reduce foot odor, heal cracked heels, and remove warts.

Mix one part ACV with four parts water and you have an incredible foot soak!

Apple cider vinegar may help with foot fungus due to its acetic acid content, which creates an acidic environment that slows fungal growth and may kill existing fungi.

The acidity is thought to break down the protective coating on fungal cells, making them more vulnerable.

Keep in mind that athlete’s foot is fungus!

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) soaks soothe sore feet by potentially reducing minor inflammation, improving blood circulation, and softening skin.

The acetic acid in ACV has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, while warm water helps relax muscles, providing relief for mild foot pain from issues like long hours of standing.

Apple cider vinegar helps reduce foot odor because its antibacterial properties kill odor-causing bacteria on the skin and in shoes, while also creating an acidic environment that is less hospitable to the bacteria and fungi that thrive in the warm, moist conditions where foot odor forms.

Apple cider vinegar helps heal cracked heels because its acetic acid softens and exfoliates dead skin, making it easier to remove, while also having antimicrobial properties that can fight off fungi or bacteria contributing to the dryness.

Dan and I welcome you to join us with the next book for our book club.

LIFE LESSONS FROM THE OCEAN, soothing wisdom from the sea – By Richard Harrtington

PREPARE FOR TIMES OF TURBULENCE

Seaweeds cannot grow roots on rocks like plants do in soul, and instead each weed anchors itself to the sea floor with a strong sticky pad, called a holdfast.

Seaweed can grow tall from this base and withstand most sea conditions in summer.

But the bigger it grows, the greater the danger that storms and currents will dislodge it.

Seaweeds are often home to grazing animals like limpets and urchins, making them heavier and even more likely to be ripped away by currents.

Bigger seaweeds tend to grow and then die back each year before winter, so miss damaging seasonal storms.

Give your mind a break from overthinking with this 10-minute guided meditation.

Quiet Your Thoughts is designed to help you release mental clutter, slow down racing thoughts, and reconnect with the present moment.

Until Friday, experience the power of ginger to ignite romance!
