CONTINUING THIS WEEK ON HAPPINESS AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
Hello Followers,
It’s Hump Day!
What scientists have discovered in the last couple of years, which incidentally much of humanity has known for thousands of years, is that our so-called science is just part of the picture.
It’s an important part by all means, but all the things we cannot see or touch are just real as the things we can.
While science has attempted to divide our bodies into parts and isolate them from each other, thinking with the best of intentions that this was the best way to go, we have forgotten how everything is connected.
For example, if you have a headache, it might have nothing to do with your head.
Taking a pill to alleviate the headache might be the last thing you should do.
If your back is hurting, it might be a problem with your foot.
Or that you stress too much.
So, treating the back might be a moot point if you don’t understand what’s causing the pain.
This is where wellness comes in, yet it is still not the complete picture.
101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.
Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.
That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.
CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF
Today, AFFIRMATIONS
Here are some confidences building affirmations.
Spend at least half a minute repeating each of these sentences slowly to yourself, and inhabiting them mentally.
Create your own variations.
v I am myself, and no one else. I will let my qualities shine.
v I will do my best, in my own way and that is plenty.
v I will be mindfully responsive to whatever happens.
Tomorrow, OUTWIT YOUR DEMONS-
QUOTES ABOUT LIVING
HAPPINESS
A mind full of worry has no room for hope.
A mind full of doubt has no room for confidence.
A mind full of gratitude sees no lack.
A mind full of curiosity, love, humor and goodness will always manage to deal with adversity as it comes but return to the habit-formed state of peace.
Like any habit, it takes at first a lot of conscious energy and effort but soon becomes the natural state of being.
It’s a wonderful goal to achieve.
How many are you out there are left-handers?
I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.
WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?
DID YOU KNOW?
The dinosaur species Masiakasaurus knopfleri was named after lefty musician Mark Knopfler.
The paleontologists listened to Dire Straits recordings while discovering the species.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
THROUGH PICTURES
Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.
Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."
So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.
Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 9 – LET THE PAST GO
Detachment is releasing someone to be responsible for themselves and to beat the responsibility of their own actions.
Detachment gives us the objectivity necessary to look at our situation and glean from it the possible good, the lesson that can make the next steps in our walk steadier and more focused and can move us toward our goal.
Detachment is ceasing to worry and changing our focus, perhaps heroically; from the other person to what is good for us in our life.
DETACHMENT IS ALLOWING OTHERS TO BE WHO THEY ARE, RATHER THAN WHO I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD BE.
This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?
The flavonoid-rich berries are anti-inflammatory in nature and have been used to decrease arthritic or rheumatic pain, as well as for strengthening the eyes.
In 1899 an American sailor informed a physician of Prague that getting drunk on genuine, old, dark-red port was a sure remedy for rheumatic pains.
This unedifying observation started a long series of investigations ending in the discovery that while genuine port wine has practically no anti-neuralgic properties, the cheap stuff faked to resemble tawny port by the addition of elderberry juice often banishes the pain of sciatica and other forms of neuralgia, though of no avail in genuine neuritis.
Cases of cure have been instanced after many tests carried out by leading doctors in Prague and other centers abroad, the dose recommended being 30 grams of Elderberry juice mixed with 10 grams of port wine. - Maude Grieve, A Modern Herba

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth
THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.
As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).
I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!
Yesterday was a lot of busy work, but Dan and I managed to get out to go to the grocery store for some odds and ends.
Stopped by a park for some nature and a walk.
Surprised to see some deer.
