Time, as it grows old, teaches all things.


Hello Followers,

Man, this week is going fast.

Perhaps, its because I live in the mountains!

How was your first day of FALL; yesterday?

If you’re thinking about how time is currently passing by, the biggest factor influencing your time perception is attention.

The more attention you give to the passage of time, the slower it tends to go.

As you become distracted from time’s passing.

Perhaps by something interesting happening nearby, or a good daydreaming session; you’re more likely to lose track of time, giving you the feeling that it’s slipping by more quickly than before.

Time flies when you’re having fun, they say!

But really, it’s more like time flies when you’re thinking about other things.

That’s why time will also often fly by when you’re definitely not having fun, like when you’re having a heated argument or are terrified about an upcoming presentation.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

It’s time to share some words from THE LEFT-HANDER’S HANDBOOK.


The brain is made up of two very different hemispheres.

We need both, but for different reasons; since each has its own functions, its own personality, its own specialties and most significantly – in reference to the subject under consideration, its own hand.

Because they have such different points of views, the thinking and feeling hemispheres complete for dominance.



It’s not how much time you’re given.

It’s what you do with the time you’re given.

Make the most of each day that you get.

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Research shows that malfunctioning relationships and relationship breakup put people at much higher risk for both psychiatric and physical disease – even cancer.

In 1974 in Alameda County, California; Dr. Lise Berkman found in a study of 7,000 people that those who had positive social ties had a death rate two to three times lower than those who were isolated.

The ten-year University of Michigan study of 2,754 adults in Tecumseh, Michigan; echoed these findings.

People with satisfying social contacts had one-quarter the mortality rate of those without supportive networks.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer.

By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Got our walk in today between rain storms.

As we were enjoying our walk along the Virginia river, look what was floating down; trash. We need to be more concerned with pollution and be more cautious, throw your own trash away when done with it.

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
