Did you know power Is contagious?


Once anyone in a group chooses to become more powerful, everyone around that person becomes more powerful.

Research supports this view.


Scientists have found that positive emotions spread from person to person in a work environment.


An individual’s or group’s emotion plays a strong role in the behavior of an organization.


Studies show that positive mood or emotion enhances creative problem solving, cooperation, decision quality, overall performance, the search for creative solutions, and confidence in being able to achieve positive outcomes.

One study by Yale researcher Sigal Barsade, PhD, found that a spread of positive emotion is associated with improved cooperation, decreased conflict, and increased task performance in the workplace.

This is called the “the ripple effect.”

Dan and I have experienced this cascading effect again and again throughout our careers. We would call it viral engagement.

How many are you out there are left-handers?


I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

Abuse can cloud reality.

It may be perceived to be normal and acceptable if you have grown up with it.

If you seem to be the only target, you may wonder; am I too sensitive?


Am I doing something wrong?


If no one else seems to see the problem, you ask.


Am I making too big a deal out of this?


If everyone but you seem to think the person is wonderful, you think; what’s wrong with me?


If the abuse is couched in for your own good but it doesn’t feel good, you question your judgement.


Did I cause the problem?


Should I apologize?


Am I bad?


How can I do better?

Did you know that thyme treats respiratory disorders?

Well, it does!


The antiseptic and antibiotic properties of thyme make it an effective remedy for respiratory conditions like coughs and bronchitis as well as cold and sore throat.

You can prepare your own thyme tea by steeping a couple of leaves in warm water and allowing it to brew.


Sweeten it with some honey.

Regular consumption of this tea will help to treat respiratory conditions and cold.


In case of throat ache, you can boil water along with thyme and gargle with it.


Thyme is a proven natural remedy for bronchitis.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!


Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
