It’s a beautiful day here in Virginia, what about where you are?


For several months I’ve been posting different series that has included subjects such as karma, institution, forgiveness, trust, appreciation, love, thoughts and words, power, time, faith and now; SELF-WORTH.


The key to all of these ingredients is LIFE, they all keep your cells happy.

As, Dan and I continue with SELF-WORTH; today the post will be on how we recognize it?


The best part about recognizing self-worth is seeing the practical impact it has on your behavior.


Self-worth affects the things you do and the choices you make consciously.


You start rejecting anything that has a negative effect on your outlook on life, and you become more open to things crafted to make you a better person.


Self-worth is what keeps you satisfied even if all your achievements, assets, and possessions are taken away from you.


The moment you reach healthy levels of self-worth, life becomes much more meaningful.

Have you ever heard someone say one thing and then do another?


Have you asked them why?


You may have been shocked at their reaction.

Don’t judge me!


What are you accusing me of?


How dare you ask me that?


You may have immediately begun to apologize for asking.


Your intention was none of those things you just didn’t know why they said one thing and did another.


Sometimes it’s just a sensitive subject.

Other times, many times; the reaction comes from their judging themselves, being afraid of being caught in a lie, or trying to hide something.


Stay aware and realize that if you can’t freely communicate, this may not be a healthy friendship or relationship for you.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

THROUGH PICTURES

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

CHAPTER 8; HANDLING FRAZZLED EMOTIONS.


Progress flows from working with your emotions, as opposed to for your emotions.

Analyze the problem.


When you are in a difficult relationship, you won’t have much energy for analysis.

But be aware that if you are making such statements as the following, your emotions are probably in the driver’s seat.


Get help!

ü I would call for help but I can’t.


ü I would reach out to others but I can’t.


ü I feel alone.


ü I don’t know what to do or what to say.


ü If I go left, I should have gone right.


ü If I do what I think will help, it may create harm.


ü Even when I try to stay calm, I get so angry and out of control that I lose it.


ü If you had a screwed-up person in your life, like mine, you would be nuts too.


ü Nothing I do works.


ü I didn’t start this.


ü I just wish he would die.


ü I want them to change, then I would be all right.

Nettle is an allergic reactions remedy.


Stinging nettle has been known to be an effective remedy against allergic reactions.


One particular condition is known as hay fever and stinging nettle is very useful in such cases.


Hay fever, also known as rhinitis; affects the nose primarily.


Despite its name, you don’t need to be exposed to hay to come down with hay fever, nor will you have a fever.

People were just really bad at naming things back then.


Itchy eyes, running nose, and sneezing can all be alleviated through the use of stinging nettle which is great since they make up the most common hay fever symptoms.


Hay fever can be very annoying since it makes it difficult to sleep which can leave you fatigued the following day.


Diesel exhaust and cigarette smoke are two very common triggers of hay fever so if you live/work in such environments then you should keep some stinging nettle handy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!


Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
