Life is too short not to celebrate nice moments.

CONTINUING THIS WEEK ON HOW CELEBRATING EACH DAY IS GOOD FOR OUR HEALTH? PLUS, THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello Followers,

Welcome to Thursday!

Before I begin with this post, I would like to wish my daughter a Happy Birthday.

She was supposed to be due on November 24, but she pushed the time until today thirty-six years ago.

It seems like yesterday!

Where has the time gone.

As she was growing up, we had lots of traditions.

One was, going to see Santa at Countryside Mall.

When our daughter was little, we would have a family picture with Santa Clause.

Department Store Santa is almost every family’s tradition that have children.

Lining up at the mall to snap a photo of the kids on Santa’s lap may seem like a modern Christmas tradition.

BUT WAIT!

It dates to 1890, when James Edgar of Brockton, Massachusetts had a Santa suit made for him and dressed as the jolly fellow at his dry goods store.

The gimmick caught on and a year later Santa’s could be found in many stores.

While many point to Edgar as the original store Santa, Macy’s in New York claims it has been hosting Santa since 1862.

As we continue to celebrate this holiday season, Dan and I are starting a new series; HOW CELEBRATING EACH DAY IS GOOD FOR OUR HEALTH?

Continuing from yesterday, Keep a journal.

Don’t like to write?

Do something called the “rampage of appreciation.”

Think about all the things for which you’re grateful, open your journal, set a timer for one minute and spray the page with anything and everything that comes to mind.

Don’t stop until the timer rings.

When it’s over, you’ll be amazed at how many blessings belong to you.

Continue tomorrow-

DECEMBER 15th, Dan, and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about December that is so significant during this month?

National Cupcake Day – December 15, 2022

This goes out to our daughter Danielle, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Swirled with frosting, covered in sprinkles, dipped in ganache, or drizzled with chocolate, cupcakes are a one-of-a-kind dessert that are whimsically versatile for any occasion.

They have evolved far and wide from just chocolate and vanilla to fulfill almost all our dessert dreams and fantasies.

Luckily, today is National Cupcake Day, recognized annually on December 15 to commemorate these compact yet delectable sweets.

Indulge all you want in your favorite cupcake treats today.

You will probably want seconds.

Make that thirds!

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes, one quote and share with you.

Today is:

HAPPINESS IS A GRATEFUL SPIRIT, AN OPTIMISTIC ATTITUDE, AND A HEART FULL OF LOVE.

Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, Ten-Minute Relaxation, For Mind and Body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; TOUCH

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.
