Ingredients
(Makes approx. 15–20 small stones, depending on mold size)
1/2 cup of baking soda
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup warm water
15–30 drops of your favorite essential oil (lavender, lemon, peppermint, eucalyptus, etc.)
Optional: natural coloring (mica powder or a drop of food coloring)
Silicone molds, cookie cutters, or ice cube trays
Mixing bowl & spoon
Parchment paper or drying tray

Necessary Tools
You will not need any fancy equipment, just a few everyday items:
A mixing bowl and spoon for preparing the dough
Silicone molds or cookie cutters to shape the stones
A drying tray or parchment paper-lined surface
Measuring cups for accuracy
Airtight containers or sachets for storing finished stones
Ingredient Swaps and Additions
Want to personalize even more?
Try these substitutions and additions:
Arrowroot powder in place of cornstarch for a similar texture
Citric acid for a slight fizz when exposed to moisture (great for bathrooms)
Dried herbs or petals like lavender buds or rose petals for visual appeal
Natural clays (like kaolin or bentonite) for added aesthetic and mineral benefits
Essential oil blends (lavender + cedarwood for relaxation)
Be sure to adjust the water content slightly if using add-ins like clay or petals to maintain the right consistency.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Mix the Base
In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup cornstarch. Slowly add 1/4 cup warm water while stirring constantly.
The mixture should form a clay-like consistency soft, pliable, but not sticky.
Add more cornstarch if it is too wet.
Optional: Add a pinch of mica powder or a drop of food coloring and knead until the dough is evenly colored.
Step 2: Shape the Stones
Press the dough firmly into silicone molds or flatten with your hands and cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
Smooth the surface with your fingers for a clean finish.
Carefully remove molds and transfer to a parchment-lined tray.
Step 3: Dry the Stones
Let the stones air-dry for 24–48 hours.
Flip them halfway through to ensure even drying.
They should feel dry and solid to the touch.
Step 4: Add Scent
Once fully dry, add 3–5 drops of essential oil to each stone.
Allow them to absorb for 1–2 hours before placing them in your desired location.
Pro Tips for Success
Humidity Matters: If your home is humid, drying time may increase.
Place near a fan in a low-humidity room to speed up the process.
Storage Tip: Keep unused stones in an airtight jar to retain freshness until you are ready to use them.
Do not over-saturate: Too much oil at once can break down the stone.
Start with a few drops and refresh as needed.
Label Your Scents: If you are making multiple scents, label them for easy identification later.
Use Quality Oils: The better the oil, the better the scent pays off.
Your life, your choice.
Design your destiny.
Until Sunday, music is very spiritual; it has the power to bring people together.
