Hello Followers,

This is a fantastic day to embrace living outside your comfort zone.

If you never take yourself outside of your comfort zone, you’ll never know what you’re capable of in life.

All the magic in life happens outside your little box.

By staying inside your shell, you will only produce a not so good version of yourself.

Start living outside your comfort zone today by doing something you normally wouldn’t do.

The ability to take risks by stepping outside your comfort zone is the primary way by which we grow.

But we are often afraid to take that first step.

In truth, comfort zones are not really about comfort, they are about fear.

Break the chains of fear to get outside.

Once you do, you will learn to enjoy the process of taking risks and growing in the process.

There are different ways to help you step out of your comfort zone and get closer to success; such as, becoming aware of what’s outside of it.

Then becoming clear about what you are aiming to overcome.

Get comfortable with discomfort as well as; seeing failure as a teacher.

Take baby steps.

Hang out with risk takers and be honest with yourself when you are trying to make excuses.

Most of all, identify how stepping out will benefit you.

Remember, don’t take yourself too seriously and focus on the fun.

JULY – 26th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about July that’s so significant during this month?

Holistic Therapy Day – July 26, 2022

Holistic therapy treats the human body as a synergy of mind, body, and soul.

It aims to bring a harmonious balance among all the elements of the being.

Unlike modem medicine, it does not treat an ailment or disease as an isolated problem.

Holistic therapy believes every being is an amalgamation of their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects, so, recommends a comprehensive treatment that works towards nurturing all of them.

Holistic therapy supports that an imbalance in one aspect of the self can cause distress in another.

For instance, prolonged mental stress has the potential to transform into physical sickness, hence, it aims to heal holistically rather than palliatively.

The practice of holistic therapy extends beyond the therapy room.

A self-care practices that centers and nurtures all our senses fall under the umbrella of holistic therapy.

Hippocrates, the father of medicine, believed that our body holds the ability to heal itself.

He envisioned that the greatest medicine would be the ability to heal without medicine.

Holistic therapy has stemmed from this 2,000-year-old idea.

Even today, before starting any holistic practice, a mutual goal is set by the caregiver and the patient.

Once they can achieve this goal, the person can continue on their healing journey independently.

The practice of symptom-based treatment rocketed in 1970 when the pharmaceutical industry boomed.

Consecutively, due to the lack of empirical evidence, holistic therapy was shunned as alternate medicine.

But, in recent years, there has been a shift in how people view holistic therapy.

Medical practitioners have started acknowledging the power of a holistic approach.

There is a growing awareness of the mind-body connection.

More and more people are engaging in activities that help balance the energy centers or chakras of their bodies.

People are moving away from fitness and moving toward well-being.

History offers abundant evidence that supports this re-emerging knowledge.

Ayurveda, an ancient Indian medicine system, aimed to heal the energy of the body while treating physical ailments.

While the Chinese traditional methods visualize the body as a small universe with interconnected systems and energies.

Yoga and Tai Chi are some holistic practices that emerged from these ancient teachings and continue to be practiced well among people today.

Holistic therapy involves practices such as meditation, yoga, massage, aromatherapy, sound therapy, breath-work, acupressure, reiki, and many more. Integrated holistic therapy involves a mix of these holistic practices.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

CHAPTER 18; SEE THE POSSIBILITIES-

Perhaps you have lost heart and you struggle with faith issues because of overwhelming and frustrating difficulties in crucial relationships.

Your efforts to change irrational and erratic behavior in someone to whom you feel committed or duty bound to help driving you away from belief.

You feel cursed, not blessed.

What good is believing in a God who does not eliminate your problems or at least grant you peace within the difficult situations?

Basing your loyalties and commitment on rules that seem to reinforce pandemonium goes against your screaming emotions.

When embroiled and embittered relationships drive you away from faith, what are you to do?

Tomorrow, FAITH FORMS A SOLID GROUND-

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 1; WHAT IS STRESS?

Stress is a state you get into because of the way you react to outside influences, like noises, debt, relationships, work worries; all of which are known stressors.

You may find your reaction to a stressor is mild at first.

However, you start to notice effects if the same stressor repeats itself constantly.

Your body always tries to reestablish a state of balance.

But if the situation keeps occurring you may, after a while; begin to show physical reactions like muscular tension, or emotional reactions such as feelings of anxiety.

These are signs of stress.

We live surrounded by potential stressors; how we cope with them determines our state of health.

These influences will not go away.

So, the only way to deal with them is to recognize them and change the way that we react to them.

Tomorrow, STRESS A CLOSER LOOK-

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
