Hello Followers,

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

Wednesday is a great day to go for your dreams and let no one take them from you.

You can’t be afraid to go after what you want.

Following your dreams is a vital part of living a life of fulfillment and shouldn’t be overlooked.

Everyone says to follow your dreams, but few do.

You only get to live through this thing we call life once, so you might as well make the best of it and live it on your own terms.

JULY – 27th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about July that’s so significant during this month?

Take Your Pants for a Walk Day – July 27, 2022

This is a fun national day that simply focuses on taking a short walk any time during the day.

And no, walking on a treadmill doesn’t count!

To celebrate the day, put on your pants and head out; take your pants for a walk.

So, think of some fun walking activities, gather your friends, and take a relaxing stroll.

Don’t forget, there are no adverse effects of walking and you will definitely feel wonderful afterward.

Walking has been a part of our lives since time immemorial.

However, with technological advancement, the act of walking has been reduced greatly.

People may not realize it yet, but avoiding walking can actually harm the body.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adults with diabetes need to walk two or more hours a week to lower their mortality rate.

But apart from the physical health benefits, walking also has numerous benefits for the mind.

As shared by Henry David Thoreau who was searching for solitude, walking in the wild can-do wonders for the soul.

In 1861, he actively promoted the philosophy of pedestrianism and stated that “Every walk is a sort of crusade.”

It is also important to note that walking was not solely beneficial for physical and mental health, but it has also been used throughout history to promote certain causes.

For instance, in 2017, a Women’s March was organized in Washington.

The same year, in April, the March for Science took place.

Walks have also often taken place to prevent war and injustices imposed on mankind.

In 1968, walking also started being used for charity as the first walkathon was held in the U.S.

This was sponsored by the American Freedom from Hunger Foundation and had over 3,000 walkers in attendance.

Similarly, in 1971, a walkathon with 150,000 participants took place in America to raise funds to fight hunger.

Over $1.2 million were raised at the event.

The largest charity walk that managed to break two Guinness World Records was held in the Philippines in 2014.

Known as the Iglesia ni Cristo WorldWide Walk for Those Affected by Typhoon Yolanda, it gathered over 175,000 participants.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

THINK OF WHAT IS AND DON’T LET WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN DISTRACT YOU.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 18; SEE THE POSSIBILITIES-

FAITH FORMS A SOLID GROUND-

Let us look together at the benefits of a grounded balanced faith.

Recognition of the value of a living faith can encourage you to seek real answers to the why questions, rather than allowing chaotic emotions to control your thoughts.

God does not resolve all our problems but he does offer to be with us as we work through them.

Faith reaches-

My life has purpose.

I’m not in this alone.

The circumstances in my life are not a mistake, nor are the people.

My mistake is not fatal.

Relationship difficulties are opportunities for growth.

Continue tomorrow-

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 1; WHAT IS STRESS?

Stress a closer look-

Understanding how stress affects us is very important and helps us to see how we might learn to cope with it.

Not all stress is bad for us.

Some life events do stimulate and excite us in a positive way.

If we can revert from stimulation into relaxation and find our inner balance, all is well.

However, if we constantly overreact and become over excited, we may eventually find ourselves in difficulty.

Continue tomorrow on the difference between healthy response to a stressor and a stress pattern that can lead to illness.

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
