As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

RECAPPING ON SERIES OF TRUST, APPRECIATION, ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE AND HOW SAFE IS MEXICO FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 10th to JULY 17th.

Hello followers,

Yesterday Dan and I took a trip to our downtown for a Wellness Fair.

While we were down there, we went to my favorite coffee spot and just sat outside and watched the people go by. I have always wondered what is on their minds and what they were doing there at that very moment my eye’s saw sight of them. Maybe they came downtown to buy something for their home or just going out to get something to eat. They say it’s a small world after all.

Perhaps some day Dan or I might run across them again. You never know!

This brings me to this! As silly as it may sound, I can compare the appreciation that you must have for buying anything new like a big item for your home, to appreciating a partner in life. When you purchase something like a couch, if you don’t take good care of it, it could break down and fall apart.

A relationship is the same way, and if you don’t put effort and love towards people that are special to you, and appreciate them while you have them, frankly, you could mess it up, and lose them forever.

When you have someone that’s so dear and special to you, it’s important to appreciate that person, and treat them as a gift in life. You should put out extra effort into showing appreciation for the mere fact that you have something so beautiful in your life while you have it, and not after you lose it, because many times, it will simply be too late.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

APPRECIATION

Appreciation for what you have doesn’t mean you have to stop thinking anything could be even better.

Appreciation and complacent are two different words. Being appreciative while striving to improve will allow you to be happy every step of the way.

RECAPPING ON SERIES OF TRUST, APPRECIATION, ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE AND HOW SAFE IS MEXICO FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 10th to JULY 17th.

Trust and faith bring joy to life and help relationships grow to their maximum potential.

It is mutual trust, even more than mutual interest, that holds human associations together.

It takes two people to make a lie work; the person who tells it, and the one who believes it.

You must trust and believe in people, or life becomes impossible.

The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness.

Appreciate where you are at this moment instead of always focusing on how far you have to go.

When we set expectations and nourish them with appreciation, we will get better results.

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story. Dan and I welcome you to check out the recap of last week above posts and check out the gallery of pictures.

This is where we continue on the book: LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Today I’m continuing on CHAPTER TWO - WHEN THE PRESSURE IS ON.

Are you ready to hear the steps to self-control? First, we need to recognize what causes the tension.

Life within a difficult relationship is like being on a wave. The tension escalates, peak, flatten, and then begin to escalate again. Smooth sailing is always short-lived. Successfully handling the tension lies in knowing that the waves are always in motion, as opposed to assuming, since the water is smooth today, it will be smooth tomorrow. Pressure to comply may become nearly unbearable when we believe:

ü We are the only one our screwed-up person attacks.

ü What we do may save the day.

ü Our way is right and their way is wrong.

ü The demands go against our ethics.

ü We don’t want to do it their way.

We need to get over it. Being a grown-up is dependent on our fully understanding the reality.

Our compliance is our choice. No one can control someone else, unless the person being controlled allows it. No one controls you unless you allow that control. Ultimately, what you do within the circumstance of your life is dependent on what you allow and how much you are willing to sacrifice to have things your own way or to win approval. Whenever there are disagreements in relationships with difficult people, the pressure is enormous and the potential for loss always present.

Understanding why you feel pressure, and that ultimately what you do with the pressure is your choice, begins to open your eyes to your options. Knowing your options prepares you for the next encounter, which when coping with difficult people; is inevitable.

No one controls you unless you allow the control.

Monday I will post controlling pressure with options. Stay tune!

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. Continuing on the health benefits on PEPPERMINT. You might be surprised!

Peppermint reliefs muscle pain. Peppermint oil acts as a natural painkiller and muscle relaxer.

It’s super helpful when it comes to comforting aching backs and sore muscles. This is why some athletes turn to peppermint. It can increase alertness and potentially help with performance.

A 2013 study concluded that it’s because the bronchial smooth muscles become relaxed and an increase in brain oxygen concentration occurs.

Tomorrow I’ll post more peppermint benefits.
