Avoid the temptation to force a moment so you won’t miss the one with your name on it.

THIS WEEK, CONTINUING SERIES ON EMBRACING THE PRESENT MOMENT AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO? BONUS, THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING.

Hello Followers,

Its Monday, a new week and a new beginning.

Plus, the holidays one down and another right around the corner.

Hanukkah began yesterday, November 28th to December 3rd.

And count down 26 days until CHRISTMAS.

Everything you do and have done has gotten you closer to who you really are and who you aspire to be.

So, in essence, even if you disagree with what you have done, it was never time wasted.

All things in moderation!

The word moderation has the meaning of avoidance of extremes.

This word refers to the act of living a happy life.

Moderation is needed in every aspect of life because each element has different values.

Moderation is the key to a successful peaceful life.

Moderation brings hope for life force.

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF

OPTIMIZE SLEEP

Sleeping better can enhance your memory and concentration.

Develop a pre-bedtime routine and stick to it.

Avoid caffeine, exercise or looking at a digital or TV screen in the late evening.

If you read in bed, opt for something soothing; not crime fiction, psychological thrillers or political analysis.

Hug your partner and share the best things that happened to you during the day.

THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING

Can you see or sense things without physical cues?

You don't need visual information to know certain things.

For instance, if you lose your keys, you have a strange sense of where you can find it, and it usually turns out to be there.

Or, it could be that you enter a space and are able to know what had happened there in the past and sometimes have a vague knowing of what is going to happen in the future, also.

This ability to "see" people, places, and histories, without any physical or tangible cues suggests that you have a sixth sense.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

DID YOU KNOW!

Although she never won either a World or U.S. National skating title, Sarah Hughes stunned the world by winning the gold at the 2002 Olympics.

Only sixteen years old, this southpaw performed a near-flawless program.

She did not defend her title in 2006, instead she skated professionally and began attending Yale University.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 10; BUTTONS AND TRIGGERS

Today, SIGNS OF REACTIVE BEHAVIOR

Do you remember the cartoon, The Roadrunner?

It was a series of fight and flight incidents between a roadrunner and a coyote.

Coyote was ever hopeful of catching the roadrunner but his strategies always backfired, leaving him stunned, befuddled, or totally blown away.

In a difficult relationship you don’t want to be like coyote, repeating the same reactive patterns.

After coyote was smashed or stepped on, roadrunner; like most difficult people, looked back only to assess the chaos, singing out- BEEP, BEEP as he ran on.

The point; Coyote never learned from his experience.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?

HOW ABOUT THE RECIPE, ELDERFLOWER FACIAL SERUM?

This is a luxurious recipe that can potentially protect the skin from sun damage.

It’s not a sunscreen, but it can protect your skin from oxidation and UVA damage.

It has a soft and silky feel to it, without being oily.

Use it daily in the morning and at night.

To use, simply place a small amount of serum on your fingertips and rub into your face, neck, chest and anywhere else that receives a lot of sun.

You don’t need to use a lot; this recipe may last two people and the entire sunny season.

This serum can also be used to hydrate and rejuvenate your skin.

Ingredients:

½ cup jojoba oil or grapeseed oil, apricot kennel oil, almond oil

¼ cup dried elderflowers (10grams)

6 grams dried calendula flowers

1 teaspoon rosemary anti-oxidant extract

10 to 15 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions:

1 The first step is to infuse your oil – you can do this with a double boiler or slow cooker. Take care not to let the oil get too hot and try the herbal material. An ideal temperature for the oil is 100F.

2 Double boiler method –

a) Put 1 to 2 inches of water in the bottom pan of the double boiler.

b) Alternatively fill a pot with 1 to 2 inches of water and place a light fitting bowl on top.

c) Place the oil, elderflowers and calendula into the top.

d) Heat over low until the oil is warm to the touch.

e) Then turn off the heat and cover with a lid.

f) Repeat this warming and cooling process every hour or two for 24 to 48 hours.

g) However, you don’t need to tend to the pot overnight, you can let it rest while you sleep.

3. slow cooker method –

a) Place the oil, elderflowers and calendula in a slow cooker, yogurt incubator, or other low temperature appliance that can maintain the oil temperature at 100F.

b) Allow to infuse for 24 to 48 hours.

4. Strain off the herbs from the oil through several layers of cheesecloth.

5. Add the rosemary extract and the essential oil.

6. Stir well.

7. Put the oil into bottles with a treatment pump. You could also put it in a traditional tincture bottle with a dropper or any other small decorative bottle that seals well.

Tomorrow, the herb HAWTHORN-

AVOID THE TEMPTATION

Avoid the temptation to force a moment so you won’t miss the one with your name on it. #avoid#temptation#force#moment#miss#name#presentmoment#inspirational#motivational

The key to experiencing greater fulfillment and happiness is through moderation.

Remind yourself to work in order to live and not live-in order to work.

Next week, the series will be on moderation, stay tune.

Until Tuesday, the power to reach our goal is always in the moment. When the moment arrives, be ready to perform the action that will help you reach your goal, and be aware when the moment is now.

DAN AND I WISH YOU A MAGIC MONDAY.
