Hello Followers,


As I roll out of bed today, I realize that it’s up to me to make the day a happy one.

Happiness is a choice, not a result.


Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy.


No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy.


Your happiness will not come to you.


It can only come from you.

So, this is the beginning of a new series; HAPPINESS.


For months, Dan and I have been sharing series of karma, intuition, forgiveness, trust, appreciation, love, thoughts and words, power, time, faith, self-worth and now happiness.


You ask why?

Dan and I believe that each one plays a part in our health and managing any disease.


Happiness is not a destination.


It’s a mindful choice you make each moment, every day, to take pleasure in living a life of purpose.


This may sound easy, but everyone’s life is filled with suffering and struggle, it can be hard to let go of the past.

Maybe you need to learn to trust in the universe or yourself.


No one knows better than you what is best for your life and your journey.

HAPPINESS


Happiness is really nothing more than freedom.


The freedom to love, to be yourself and to live without fear of change.


There are times when happiness might be incredibly difficult.


Physical pain and mental and emotional challenges can be all but overwhelming.


But even in those times, finding just a moment of peace can provide the strength to carry-on.

How many are you out there are left-handers?


I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.


WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

Although left hand dominant people represent only about 10 percent of the population, they appear to have higher health risks for certain conditions, including; breast cancer, periodic limb movement disorder, psychotic disorders.


Left handers also appear to be at an advantage for certain conditions including; arthritis, ulcers, stroke recovery.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

CHAPTER 9 – LET THE PAST GO

We want to leave the hurts and wrongs behind.


Our plan is to move on, or love in spite of or help without enabling; but the past keeps begging for our attention.


Tomorrow, THE ROOT OF UNHAPPINESS –

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?

Elder is shrub and tree; it is flexible and firm.


Elder is a medicine and food, and it’s both gentle and strong.


In Washington’s Methow Valley, elder shrubs tend to quietly blend with their surroundings for most of the year.


But just after the summer equinox, the shrubs burst out of hiding.


They pop up here and then there, pretty soon large white blooms dot the landscape to announce the elder plant’s presence in the greatest fashion.

Then in the fall, flowers will give way to large purple clumps of elderberries.


Both the flowers and the berries are incredible herbs for preventing and addressing upper respiratory infections like colds and especially the flu.


Herbal preparations with elderberry have been shown to be as effective as modern antiviral drugs for the flu, but without the risk of adverse effects.

This is yet, another example that despite the many advances of modern science; herbs continue to offer us powerful medicinal tools.

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!


Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
