Desire is a powerful force that can be used to make things happen.
THIS WEEK STARTING ON A NEW SERIES, DESIRE WITHIN AND FINISHING ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.
It’s the last Monday of August 2022!
Make it a great one.
It’s also countdown to some cooler weather, Autumn arrives in 25 days.
Today we Dan and I are starting a new mini video on desire within.
We all have that desire within us.
Whether it is for a material object, a person, a place, or for goals that we want to achieve.
Desire is what keeps us aiming at the target and gives us the momentum to keep driving forward.
Without it, we would merely not see the point and live a very uninspiring existence.
We must always remember to use desire to inspire us and not to take over our minds, as it can also be a weapon against us if not used correctly.
We cannot choose what we desire, but we can choose what we act upon.
So, use the gist of desire wisely.
AUGUST – 29th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about August that’s so significant during this month?
NATIONAL LEMON JUICE DAY | AUGUST 29
When the sun is blazing high in the sky, this day comes along just in time to bring a refreshing squeeze to just about anything.
On this day; celebrate with a tart drop of lemon juice in your cooking, beverages, or freshen up the world around you.
Dan does every day!
These brightly colored sour fruits originated in the Himalayan Mountains millions of years ago.
However, they have evolved since then.
Today the citrus fruit is grown commercially in temperate climates.
In the United States, California and Arizona produce more lemons than any other state.
You ask why Lemon Juice?
Why do we love lemons so much?
Is it because we enjoy watching a baby’s face scrunch up at their first taste of the lemon juice?
Well, we do, but that’s not the only reason.
In cooking, the acid in lemon juice enhances the flavors.
Add lemon juice to a salad dressing, and suddenly your salad goes from ho-hum to wow!
In a sauce, the addition of lemon juice will transform it from being something that drowns a meal to something that brightens it.
This one ingredient can save an entire dish.
The same applies to beverages.
Lemon juice adds punch to teas, soda, and even water.
But it also adds an extra level of flavor for mixed drinks.
Alternatively, when paired with honey and a hot beverage, lemon juice soothes a sore throat and cough.
But lemon juice doesn’t stop there.
This powerhouse also makes us and our homes look good, too.
Everything from home remedies to cleansers using lemon juice can be found on the internet.
While you might not want to use fresh lemons (save those for the cooking and beverages), you can use bottled to save a few pennies.
The fresh scent of lemon will also lift your mood as you brighten your pots and pans, clean your pores and windows and make your garbage disposal smell fresh again.
While you’re at it, you should probably pour yourself a chilled glass of lemonade, too.
HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL LEMON JUICE DAY
Squeeze yourself some lemons.
Reap the benefits of this refreshingly versatile fruit.
There are so many ways to celebrate, too!
Where will you start?
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
EMBRACE LIFE. IT IS EITHER PLEASURING YOU, OFFERING YOU OPPORTUNITIES, OR TEACHING YOU.
Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.
Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.
A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 19; DANCING WITH PORCUPINES (last chapter of the book)
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE-
Today we are starting on the most significant question that Dan and I have been blogging from living successfully with screwed-up people is; do you want your screwed-up relationship to change?
There are things to do to help you cope and keep you going.
If you are ready to do what it takes to make your relationship work or cope if it doesn’t, you may want to pledge.
Today from this moment forward; I will no longer allow what others do to control how I feel.
I will cease living my life through someone else.
I will appreciate and build on what I have, rather than wishing for something else.
I will find healthy ways to meet my needs, rather than expecting someone else to do it.
I will learn from all of my life, from the bad as well as the good.
I will take advantage of opportunities to grow emotionally, physically and spiritually.
I will be grateful for each moment.
I will treasure my own value.
Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.
Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.
This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.
Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!
Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.
By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.
CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY
SIGHT COLOR IN YOUR ENVIRONMENT-
Today, COLOR IN HOME
You do have control over your own space.
There use of particular shades will affect your mood.
Soft greens to soothe, warm apricot shades to give a feeling of comfort, fresh yellows to uplift your morale.
Your home is a place that should nurture you and give you sanctuary, where you return to be refreshed and renewed.
Have you thought about your space like this?
Tomorrow, Dan and I will post a 10-minute exercise that you should try.
It may be time to redecorate?
The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.
Until Tuesday, desire is what leads you through life until the time
comes when you desire a higher life.
So do not be ashamed that you want so much,
yet at the same time do not fool yourself into thinking
that what you want today will be enough tomorrow.
