CONTINUING THE SERIES OF QUOTES ABOUT LIVING / ONE’S MIND SET/POSITIVE THINKING

Hello followers,

For the past few weeks, I have been blogging on how improving your life starts with improving your mindset. Dan and I can not express how important that this is on one’s health.

I know that when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, my mindset was quite different then now. I didn’t realize the importance of gaining the knowledge and thus creating less fear.

A lot of my loss of fear was the common sense that I learned from my doctors in Mexico.

Wisdom with experience brought Dan and I to create this website and blog, to educate others on what we learned. Wisdom is one of those qualities that is difficult to define because it encompasses so much. People generally recognize wisdom when they encounter it and this is encountered most obviously in the realm of decision-making.

Most experts agree that wisdom involves an integration of knowledge, experience, and deep understanding, as well as a tolerance for the uncertainties of life. There's an awareness of how things play out over time, and it confers a sense of balance.

So, as you have been following Dan and I through the past ten years, you can recognize our knowledge, experience and deep understanding for the topic of keeping healthy. Through the past years of changing our lifestyle with moving to Mexico, we have gained so much understanding on how to cope with fear and disbelief.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

INTUITION

People who learn to trust and use their intuition are still going to have negative experiences in their lives. This does not mean their intuition failed them. Intuition is always right.

Some of these experiences hold very important lessons for us that we might see, only when looking back years later. During a different time, using your intuition will help guide you through in the best way possible.

SIMPLE JOYS

If you’re out in a group, it can be hard to get quality time with anyone and you can come away feeling as though you didn’t really talk to a single person.

If you suffer from FOMO, it can be tricky to concentrate on a single conversation as you’re always aware of what’s going on around you. Take the stress out of a social situation by going out with just one friend at a time. This way you can focus on each other without distraction.

CONTINUING WITH ONE’S MIND SET/POSITIVE THINKING

Surround yourself with positive people. When a friend is negative, his negativity can have the tendency of rubbing off on you. Build a network of people who approach life with positivity.

Spend less time with those who bring you down.

Be positive about other people. Sometimes feeling negative affects all our interactions.

Negativity can make people not want to spend time with you, adding to a cycle of feeling negative.

A way to break out of this cycle and improving your life is to practice social support.

Expanding positive comments towards others can help you build a positive thinking mindset.

Being nice to others is associated with positive outcomes in family, health and career, which will help build your positive-thinking mindset. Show interest and pride in others. When you interact with others, you can help them feel positively. This will, in turn, increase your own positive mindset.

Increase positive thinking in others by showing interest and reinforcing the pride you feel.

When you get together with a friend, spend the time talking about what’s new with them.

Steer the conversation away from yourself and focus on listening to them.

Take note of when you help others. Write down the ways that you have helped someone else and contributed to his or her wellbeing. It sounds somewhat gratuitous or self-serving. But research shows this kind of behavior can help you feel like you’re making a difference by staying positive.

Dan and I are planning on joining a social group; we would like to join a networking group and share our experiences and products. Belonging to a social group can help reduce negative thinking.

Religious affiliation can, for many people, cultivate a positive mindset.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Yesterday was a nice 85F day. Went downtown Roanoke for the first Wellfest event.

Dan and I decided to take our walk down there. For a while it looked like it was going to rain but ended up as a wonderful walk to Elmwood Park.

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation . Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!
