STARTING A NEW SERIES ON EMBRACING THE PRESENT MOMENT AND CONTINUING ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO? BONUS, THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING.

Hello Followers,

HAPPY THURSDAY!

There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done.

One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live.

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life.

Be happy now!

Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future.

Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family.

Every minute should be enjoyed and savored!

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF

PLAN PERSONAL GROWTH

Many of us live our inner lives on an ad hoc basis, taking each day as it comes.

This can lead to drifting aimlessly with general unease.

Instead, with as much self-knowledge as you can muster, set a personal growth plan.

We can all change, even radically; if we set our minds to it.

Once you’ve identified a problem, be it procrastination; avoidance of intimate commitments or fear of self-exposure, it makes sense to eradicate it.

Consciously take steps to follow a path of your own choosing.

Be serious about yourself!

Shape a growth plan and get started on the inner work that will take you where you want to go.

THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING

Touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound can improve your well-being in all sorts of surprising ways.

Let’s talk about TOUCH and how it effects our health.

Touch plays an important role in overall health.

The sense of touch is getting a closer look, too.

Research shows that people in stressful situations tend to touch their faces more often.

In addition, Joshua Ackerman, a PhD psychology researcher at the University of Michigan, has studied the impact of face-touching on decision-making.

He’s learned that people touch their faces an average of about 15 times an hour, and they say it clarifies thoughts and feelings.

“Just putting your hand up to feel your face at some level directs your attention toward what’s going on in your head,” he explains.

“The same areas of the brain that process information from the senses also deal with other types of thoughts and actions.

So, the processes can spill over and influence one another.”

“Stroking the skin at a rate of two to four inches per second appears to produce the biggest positive effect.

‘We’re starting to bring scientific rigor to what has traditionally been a touchy-feely area, if you’ll excuse the pun.’”

Ackerman conducted a study in which he found that merely touching an object can influence people’s attitudes.

What happens, he explains, is that the feel of an object can trigger associations to specific thoughts and emotions.

Holding a heavy object may conjure a feeling of gravity, for example.

“The sensations trigger metaphorical ways of thinking,” he says.

Putting these learnings to work is tricky, admits Ackerman, because like many unconscious effects, they tend to disappear when you tell people about them.

Thus, simply advising people to touch their faces to reduce stress or lift a lightweight object if they want to feel more easygoing might not work.

But there are other ways people can benefit from touch.

Oxford’s Charles Spence, who is writing a book called Sense Hacking; to be published early next year and recently identified specific types of caressing (of the arm and other areas of the body) that are linked to feelings of well-being.

The research found that stroking the skin at a rate of two to four inches per second appears to produce the biggest positive effect.

“We’re starting to bring scientific rigor to what has traditionally been a touchy-feely area, if you’ll excuse the pun,” he says.

Spence advises anyone recovering from an illness to embrace caresses, whether from family, friends, or care providers, as a way of speeding up recovery.

His one qualification, make sure the stroking is performed by a human being.

“There have been efforts to create the same sensations with a robot’s touch,” he says.

“But they don’t have the same effect. We don’t know why, but there’s something about human interpersonal touch that has special properties.”

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

HIGHLIGHT FROM HISTORY OF LEFT-HANDEDNESS

On June 10, 1752, lefty Ben Franklin went out into a lightning storm to fly a kite.

During the course of the storm, he has able to prove that lightning was, in fact electricity.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 9 – LET THE PAST GO

Today, ACCEPT YOUR REALITY

The process of letting go is a bit clumsy at first and you will experience much questioning and doubt.

It’s tough to let go when your fears are legitimate that someone will fall.

It’s agonizing if the choice to let go may mean the end of your relationship.

It’s hard to move on when the other person tries to keep you attached through guilt and manipulation.

To extricate yourself from the pressure and control is an art when love stays at the helm.

Continue tomorrow-

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?

Elderberries enhances respiratory health.

Elderberry juice can be an ideal choice for a cough, clearing up a sore throat, bronchitis, cold, or any issue that impairs the respiratory system.

Elderberries, like cough syrups, contain ingredients (bioflavonoid such as anthocyanins) that help soothe irritation and inflammation.

These ingredients also work as an expectorant to clear out phlegm and flush out foreign agents from the glands.

Also, elderberry juice is suitable for asthma patients.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.
