Set realistic goals, keep re-evaluating, and be consistent.
WE WILL BE CONTINUING THIS WEEK ON REMEMBER TO CELEBRATE MILESTONES AS YOU PREPARE FOR THE ROAD AHEAD AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERBS – ASHWAGANDHA, ASTRAGALUS.
Happy July 1st and half way through with this year.
Say good-bye to June and Hello to July.
Time to reflect and look forward to the other half of 2022.
If need be, give yourself breaks.
Another way people demotivate themselves is by working themselves into the ground just to reach that next milestone.
They beat themselves up, for example, because the nice dinner they enjoyed on their birthday blew their calorie budget.
Life is bigger than any one milestone.
If you have something to celebrate, indulge a little.
If life deals you a setback, realize it may take some time to get back on track.
What’s important is that you keep a positive attitude.
Wow its JULY – 1st day, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about July that’s so significant during this month?
International Joke Day – July 1, 2022
Do you know some jokes?
If you have a good one, Dan and I would love to hear them.
Just add one below!
And thus begins another International Joke Day on July 1.
Really, really, we’re glad you added one below.
Where would any of us be without jokes and laughter to brighten our spirits?
It can help any situation.
This July 1, we invite you to take some time out of your day to recognize the important job humor plays in keeping stress at bay, building relationships, and bringing levity to a world that badly needs it.
And be sure not to confuse the purpose of International Joke Day with April Fools’ Day.
The two couldn’t be further apart.
July 1 is all about getting a grin out of your best friend, sharing a laugh on social media, and appreciating the standup comics who have left us in stitches for decades.
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
LIFE IS NOT SOMETHING WE PUT ON THE BACKBURNER HOPING TO GET TO LIVE FURTHER DOWN THE LINE.
Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.
Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.
A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 17; WHEN YOU WANT TO HELP
WHEN IS HELP -HELP?
When you care, you are there so that the one you care for does not crash and burn.
You may be able to help keep the small hurdles from becoming major obstacles.
Tomorrow, HOW HELP BECOMES UNHEALTHY-
Continuing on the herb; ASTRAGALUS and the benefits, It’s the last herb from the book ALCHEMY OF HERBS by Rosalee De La Foret.
Astragalus has such a mildly sweet flavor.
What Is Astragalus?
Astragalus is a plant within the Leguminosae (beans or legumes) family, with a very long history as an immune system booster and disease fighter.
Its roots are in Traditional Chinese Medicine, in which it’s been used as an adaptogen for thousands of years, meaning it helps the body fight off stress and disease.
Today, astragalus medicinal healing and treatment uses, span many different illnesses and diseases.
The perennial flowering plant, also called milkvetch root and Huang-qi, grows from 16 to 36 inches tall and is native to the north and eastern regions of China.
It’s also been traced back to Mongolia and Korea.
Astragalus roots are harvested from 4-year-old plants and are the only part of the plant that’s used medicinally.
Only two of the over 2,000 species of astragalus, astragalus membranaceus and astragalus mongholicus, are used medicinally.
Astragalus contains three components that allow the plant to have such a positive impact on human health: saponins, flavonoids and polysaccharides, which are all active compounds contained in certain plants, including some fruits and vegetables.
Saponins are known for their ability to lower cholesterol, improve the immune system and prevent cancer.
Flavonoids, also found in astragalus, provide health benefits through cell signaling.
They show antioxidative qualities, control and scavenge of free radicals, and can help prevent heart disease, cancer and immunodeficiency viruses.
Polysaccharides are known to have antimicrobial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory capabilities, among other health benefits.
