Life is the dancer and you are the dance.
Recap of last week on SERIES OF BELIEVING
Hello followers,
The other day, I decided to re-read the book I wrote – My Journey of Completion – Body, Heart & Soul (Enjoy Life While Managing Cancer). The book is a personal journey of my everyday experience with treatments that I received in Mexico.
In relations to the current series of BELIEVING, Life Is the Dancer and You Are the Dance was an entry in my book 1-27-11 that made a big impact in my life.
I started my day by sitting out by the café. It stands between the hospital and the doctor’s complex. Looking around, I enjoyed the birds chirping, the beat of the sun and the wind blowing across my face. I felt how blessed I am for being able to be part of this world.
Stop and smell the roses. Just close your eyes for a moment and picture with me sitting out in the café with the wind blowing across your face. What mood are you favoring? As I sit and think, people are walking from building to building. My life is at a standstill. How humble I am that I have the opportunity to be part of these treatments. While I was reading, my doctor stopped by for he went to my room and I was not there.
“Hello Sherry,” he said. “This will be a great place to do a consultation,” and he began to speak. I asked him about my future and he replied that he feels with the treatments it looks really good.
Then started talking about methods I am using; I made the right choice by coming to see them.
Both my physicians are very passionate about what they do and will strive to continue to treat and manage this illness. I never met doctors that I could hug and be so close to, until now.
Even though this was ten years ago, I still remember this day. I asked my doctor that day, if he felt with the treatments and home program that I will be around at least five years. He gave me hope, he believed in me and gave me the knowledge to strive to heal myself. Since then, he has repeated to me that he provided the treatment, but I did all the hard work; by following his protocol.
I believe with Dr. Perez and Dr. Garcia; I am here today.
WHO IS SHERYL SURDI MALIN?
I haven't forgotten that I am just one person, That I am but one voice attempting to stand out from the crowd. I know that I can't sit here and expect my words to create change without reason. I can see if I don't educate and try to make a change, then I can't expect and follow my world. I can feel that time is slipping by me, that it will be gone if I just stand still. I have heard that there are a million other voices that sound like mine, that want also to be heard. I've been told that it's not enough to wish for dreams that I have to work them into reality. Your voice, your opinion-- mean something. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!! You are one drop, but together we can make an ocean. Let's think outside the box, and let your voice, your opinion--be heard. JOIN ME
To make the change. This is who Sheryl Surdi Malin is.
JUST TO LOVE 💖
The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return ❤️
When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.
BE A DREAMER WHOSE DREAMS COME TRUE
Dreams are images in your mind. They’re fantasies, goals, inventions, hopes, visions, hearts desires. They can be fun to imagine, they can keep you going and they can give you hope. But they are still only dreams until you make them real. Dreamers whose dreams come true are realists.
They use self-control to actively pursue their dreams. They take steps every day to make their dreams real. They forfeit some pleasures of today for a life of greater value tomorrow.
Dreamers whose dreams come true are achievers. They determine what it will take and they resolve to do it. They establish reasonable goals and they meet them. They set high expectations and they strive for them.
Dreamers whose dreams come true are believers. They see their dreams clearly. They have faith that they can make them happen. Their emotions, efforts and actions come from their desire and belief that today’s dreams are tomorrow’s realities. By Barbara Cage
