They who have a why can bear anyhow.

RECAPPING THE WEEK SERIES, SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF AND CONTINUING ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERB – COFFEE.

Hello Followers,

Good morning, Happy Sunday.

When Dan and I discuss something bigger than ourselves, one of the subjects talked about after over 40 years together is; FOLLOWING OUR PASSION.

In following your passion remember these key factors.

Be unapologetically YOU.

Follow your passion and purpose as if your life depended on it.

Don’t let anyone hold you back.

Find your people.

Surround yourself with people who are excited to see you progress in your journey.

SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF!

Follow your passion.

Last week on our way back from Floyd, we visited some standing water-powered mills from the 1800’s.

There were once 140 gristmills that provided flour, cornmeal and animal feed needed by the people of Floyd.

Since it’s May, Dan and I thought it would be fun to share what is it about May that’s so significant during this month?

Let’s take a look at this a-may-zing month!

On this day MAY 22 -

Buy A Musical Instrument Day.

This day is here to motivate you to create beautiful melodies with a brand-new instrument.

National Solitaire Day.

Addicted to playing solitaire?

National Maritime Day.

National Maritime Day is a holiday that both honors and celebrates the Merchant Marine.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

STOP BEING AFRAID OF WHAT COULD GO WRONG AND START BEING EXCITED ABOUT WHAT COULD GO RIGHT.

RECAPPING THE WEEK SERIES, SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF AND CONTINUING ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERB – COFFEE.

No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.

There are two ways of exerting one’s strength: one is pushing down; the other is pulling up.

There are better starters than me but I’m a strong finisher.

Commit yourself to something bigger than yourself.

The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself, the more energy you will have.

Don't be afraid to imagine yourself doing something bigger than you have the resources to do right now. Dreaming is free. It costs nothing, but your time.

Sometimes in life, you have to take difficult steps and make tough decisions, in order to achieve something extraordinary.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 15; TOUCH WITH WORDS

DON’T FIGHT THEIR BATTLES-

You don’t have to fight a difficult person’s battles.

You don’t have to defend their actions.

What they do, even if it affects you; it’s their problem.

However, separating yourself from the actions of someone who is part of you – a child, parent, spouse, sibling, relative, close friend is painful.

It leaves a hole in your soul.

You will grieve for the lost dreams, the lost potential, the lost relationship.

But if you want to be emotionally healthy and find peace within your circumstances, separation is critical.

Continue tomorrow-

This is the spot that Dan and I have been posting, on the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs.

Today blogging on the herb; COFFEE and the benefits.

It’s amazing what and how coffee can help keep your body healthy?

Ready for a coffee recipe?

SPICED COLD-BREW COFFEE

Cold brewed coffee makes a delicious drink that has less bitterness than traditional coffee that has been brewed with hot water.

This recipe spices it up with the addition of cinnamon and cardamom.

Ingredients:

1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans (dark beans healthier)

½ teaspoon cinnamon powder

¼ teaspoon cardamom powder

Honey to taste

Instructions:

1. Place the coarsely ground beans and spices in a 1-quart jar.

2. Fill the jar with water and stir well.

3. Place lid on this and let it sit in the fridge for 12 hours.

4. Strain off the coffee and spices through a coffee filter or several layers of cheesecloth.

5. This creates a cold brew concentrate that will last for up to a week in the fridge.

6. To use: when ready to drink

a) 1 part of the coffee brew with 2 parts of liquid.’

b) ¼ cup of cold-brew coffee with ½ cup of water.

c) 1 part water and ¼ cup of cold-brew coffee, if you prefer cream (Dan and I like to use coconut milk or almond milk) 1 part.

d) Also, optional honey to your taste.

7. ENJOY-

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

THEY WHO HAVE A WHY❓

Until Monday, think of the "how" as the engine,

it will make movement happen and get you forward. The "why" is the fuel.
